That was the logical thing to do, but as you may have noticed, the writers of CDPR were not very fond of Yen and Ciri's relationship as a mother-daughter.

Some Optional decisions in this game literally make no sense. Spend 20 years in love with a woman, searching across half the world in some cases to rescue her, sacrificing his life to the wild hunt in exchange for hers clearly showing strong emotional bonds to this person. Then he just goes "yeah fuck Triss and yen, crystal can go to Radovid who wants to kill them" LOL wtf? It's literally so un-canon my brain explodes. Geralt will do anything to protect, save and stand up for yennefer (ciri and even triss, yeah she fucked him over but he is still her close friend) so i always choose the options that suit the real canon-geralt and not the retarded unacknowledged player controlled Geralt... xD

On the contrary, it's perfectly rational. In the books he had put innocent ones in long term danger before as long as he was sure to resolve the issues before it came around (for the coin...). Phillippa is the immediate target. Yen and the others have AT LEAST three years while Radovid works his way down his hit list. Radovid isn't surviving 3 years, nope there is a new ruler in the North who isn't a Redanian.

It wouldn't be an RPG if there weren't choices. I always play Geralt like he was in the book but I'm glad I have the option not to. I just beat this game for the 2nd time, think Ill start a new game and do some stuff that I didnt do last time.

I agree it doesn't make any sense, and in a lesser RPG Geralt might just make the choice in a cutscene but it really shows how much the developers care by giving the player control during important moments like this.

I guess this quest will only be activated if Triss is still in novigrad you will be prompted to op if you give the crystal to any of the 3 person Radovid, Yen or Triss. Giving the crystal to anyone will prompt your other objective to fail, I think the best way to avoid failing side quest is finish all the side quest with Triss until she escape novigrad before you pick "The Redanian most wanted" side quest.

You can also give yennefer the crystal right after the djinn fight when they're both teleported back to the inn, you do not have to wait until you get to KAER MORHEN.

I can't say why it didn't work for you, but from my understanding once you get the crystal from Philippa cave, you now have to complete all the tasks yennefer has on the skellige isles to give it to her earlier then when you meet at kaer morhen.

I don't see how reviving the Lodge makes them a "power player" or whatever. Radovid will still hunt them down surely as before. The Witcher school at Kaer Morhen isn't some rival faction--it's 4 really tough dudes that are rarely home.

I think you're underestimating how strong they are. The surviving sorceresses are almost inarguably the most powerful. if they were to reorganize they'd have the power to level armies. As long as they're scattered radovid is winning. If they were to get together radovid would have to expend a lot of resources making him vulnerable to nilfgaard's assault.

I didn't realize I could have gave the crystal to Yen or even Triss. However, it doesn't matter, I plan to terminate Radovid on sight the first chance I get. Not that it matters, since there's no long term consequences either way, but head canon will be satisfied.

Ironic that in the games Yennefer says only Vilgefort had regenerated his eyesight and that is was nearly impossible, but in the books she had regenerated her own eyesight before the first novel (but after the short stories).

A very large difference. Repairing some optical nerves that got burned out is a lot easier than creating completely new eyeballs that won't be rejected by the body. Eyes are, after all, incredibly complex. If it were simple every Golem would have a set.

+cheesewithnoname It's not essential for neither of them, just give it to who you are more comfortable. If you want to ensure you end up with Yennefer, you have to do the quest The Last Wish and don't tell Triss to love her, that's it, everything else is optional.

+Kallelinski Can I tell Triss to stay (during the quest of smuggling mages out the city)? I read someone told her to stay and the game viewed this as choosing Triss. I want Triss to be present at the battle of Kaer Morhen and apparently telling her to stay is a requirement.

+cheesewithnoname Triss will be present at Kaer Morhen no matter what, even if you say good bye. There was a bug, I don't know, if it is fixed by now, that the game wrongly recognizes "stay" as "being with her", so if you want to be on the safe side, say farewell for now.

a bit late though, no, telling her "to stay" is not a requirement. Triss will be at the battle no matter what. you can try send her to hell, you will be at Kaer Morhen, because Yennefer will invite her nonetheless.

+Gamez pc Hmm, no idea. As I wrote in the description, you can find the crystal ih Philippa's hideout, I don't think it is necessary to have the associated quest still active, so if you still have the crystal in your inventory, you should be able to give it to her.

Yes bec. Radovid is demanding asshole he will never take that bait even if you give the crystal still not enough for him that is why the side quest of helping Dijstra will lure Radovid onto Philippa's pit trap bec. Philippa will give you the ring as solid mementos of Radovids father.

@@justhair17 I'm a bit late, but yeah you can still kill him. In my play through I gave Yen the crystal, but you can still go back and report to Radovid without the crystal, he just won't pay you money if you do. From there the rest of that storyline proceeds the same

03wrigc During the side quest Redania’s Most Wanted you can find a megaskop crystal in Philippa's hideout, you can either give this crystal to Triss or later to Yennefer.
