@brittneymcneil58522 жыл бұрын
I have found that it's usually the one's who are comedians/funny because they like to make others laugh and smile. There is just this comfort in knowing you have made someone happy. Also cause they know what it's like to be sad pretty much all the time so if they can make someone else laugh especially someone who copes with mental health problems then they feel that slightly bit better.

@@naimurrahman2312 I don't agree on calling them losers. I don't blame them for doing what they did because sometimes life sucks and it really does seem like there is no light at the end of the tunnel. Committing suicide may just be the easiest way out of a battle they are just too tired of fighting anymore. Yes, you can tell someone with suicidal thoughts to just 'hang in there', but without motivation, I don't see too many good things coming from that situation. Don't treat my words as doctrine though, I have never personally experienced these feelings/had these mental illnesses myself, but I do think that getting out of a pit of depression takes more than telling them to just get through it.

@@Animatty well I had suicidal thoughts when I was around 10. I know my past self was nothing but a loser. Committing suicide takes courage and if u have that then u should be able to do alot with ur life. U really just need one person around u as a motivation to live until u realize there is so much to luve for in this world. We got sports arts tracking etc etc so so many crazy stuff to do. I personally am a introvert but can't deny I want to go out of my comfort zone if it's what it takes .And yeah I respect however the way u think about it. @@naimurrahman2312 Very well put. I definitely agree that there are a TON of things that are worth living for. Did you ever see them that way in the moment? Did it really feel like there were things worth staying here for? I also wonder why is it okay to call anyone a loser especially if they are going through something like that? When she apologized for “crying so much” I said in my head. “WHAT THE HECK DO YOU MEAN! AFTER ALL YOU’VE BEEN THROUGH? YOU HAVE A REASON TO CRY PLEASE DO NOT APOLOGIZE!” I was about to say “I’m so sorry for what you have been through” then I thought, sorry doesn’t seem right for this situation. The fact that she mentioned how Kevin, her dog, saved her so many times is SO relatable for me. I had a dog throughout a lot of my school time (I had her from 2006 (2nd ish grade) till 2019) and she saved my life more times than I can count. When I lost her I lost SO much motivation to do anything. My life just sat at a stand still as I auto piloted through it. In 2020 I got a new dog. She's imperfect, she still play bites despite being almost 2 years old, but she's my baby, and I love her more than anything.

I know it has been a couple of years now but I've just seen this for the first time and it is still valid. As someone who has struggled with depression for most of my 40 years, to see someone who always appears to be so vibrant and joyful display this level of true honesty and vulnerability is one of the greatest encouragements I've ever experienced. As a man in our messed up world it can be very difficult to allow myself to openly show signs of struggle. But for someone who's very livelihood is built upon a certain persona, even one that is a real part of you, to drop that and show the world the reality of the person behind that persona, the hurt, and the human battles is so beautiful and so brave. You are a wonderful person for speaking the truth of your struggles and giving encouragement and hope to the rest of us. Thank you so much for being so honest and so real in a world that is trying so hard to teach us all to be fake

My whole life, my mom said to me, “Why are you depressed? You haven’t gone through what I’ve gone through. Don’t I give you everything you need? You should be happy!” So I pretended. For YEARS. But in high school, it got SO bad. I tried so hard to get rid of myself because I couldn’t be the happy girl my mom wanted. I failed, but that desire has never gone away. I understand a lot of what you’ve gone through; those same feelings and those same urges. I just never got help until very recently. Thanks for sharing, Kris. I love you and your channel.
