Yes, an excellent dancer and beautiful as well. She was the male dancer's wife and died not too long ago at age 102, I believe. Look up Amala Shankar if you wish to know more.

I heard about Uday Shankar long ago, but never knew about his wife. She was amazing, great expressions and movements control, a true artist. Warm regards from Jordan.

@@Tommydan333 it would be difficult to recognize them. Bcoz as per padmini interview this movie was made in 1944, but released in 1948 bcoz of world war 2
