W B Yeats was initially a Protestant and worked for the Irish nationalist movement as well. However when in the later part of his life he wrote Sailing to Byzantium, can we say that he was changing his ideologies and moving towards the beliefs of the catholic, speaking of charms of the Byzantium city and its permanence in one’s life?

Ma’am I have a question kindly answer, how was J.M Synge’s Rider to the sea was set in de anglicised ireland? It was asked in MPPSC, I couldn’t get it on Internet.

It means the play shows authentic Irish culture as against the English representations of Ireland. This play was written at a time when the Irish rebellion was happening against the English and they consciously rejected the anglicised representations of Ireland.
