Her life story is so sad. Miki was diagnosed with uterine cervic cancer, which she kept a secret for a long time from people and carried on with her music career. she battled cancer for 3 years. 2 months before her death, miki wished nobody would listen to her music and said she had regretted her music career as a whole, because she spent her life being too focused on making music and didn't live her life fully enough. miki spent the last 2 months of her life with her family, and later passed away at the age of 44. she told her husband that she wished she could restart her life again and live it more fully. By any chance you have a source saying she regretted this path. All I found that this song was a huge hit ( including other songs by her) In 2000 she made a phone call to her record company that she can’t play music anymore due to illness which was apparently her communication than everything went dark. Couple of years later they found out she died from uterine cervix cancer. That’s what I found. Not much is known about her or what said during the last couple years of her life battling cancer. Edit: I'm actually curious for anyone who read this comment.

I heard this song decades ago when I was very small, obviously I didn’t know at the time what she was singing about, but the melody always touched my soul. Edit: I think I know now why I am so hammered with this song. Working as much as I do deep down, I wish I can spend more time with my parents, my sister and the rest of my family. However, in the moment I do enjoy what I do a lot and I feel if I got the news that she did my life would turn on a dime and I might actually do what she did which was to spend her final moments with the ones that she loved all while having a sense of regret that you didn’t do it sooner.

For MIKI's debut concert,I also performed as a member of "Parachute". After that, Miki and I wrote several GUNDAM theme songs together. She passed away in 2004, she is really missed. Masaki Matsubara's guitar solo at the ending is really cool!! 彼女のデビューコンサートは僕も一緒にパラシュートで演奏しました。その後、ガンダムのテーマソングを何曲か一緒に作りました。2004年に亡くなってしまった、本当に惜しい方です。 エンディングの松原正樹のギターソロ、本当にかっこいい！

Just learned that she passed in 2004..it makes me think about many things like life, death,..and the universe we all live in. She is still so beautiful and refreshing in that vid. I think maybe there is another universe somewherelse she is still singing that beautiful song.

oh hell yeah man she may be gone but her memory remains its up to the ones left behind to keep her passion alive as long who knows maybe some kid is watching this right now and gets inspired by what she did and come up with something like this again. just because they aren't amongst us anymore doesn't mean that what they left behind cant inspire someone else to follow and do their own singing. her memory will be forever in art
