The Dispatcher module in Kamailio offers SIP load balancer functionality and it can be used as a SIP traffic dispatcher. One of the most common use cases for dispatcher module is to load balance traffic between media servers such Asterisk or FreeSWITCH to implement High Available and Scalable Voice over IP solutions.

The Dispatcher module is designed to route calls to a specified SIP destination, whether it's directing calls to voicemail, a conference system, or any other SIP endpoint.

Hey nice tutorial, will you have more content related to Kamailio? I have an specific question related to Kamailio, i would like to setup a kamailio as a proxy between a provider and an asterisk server and i would like to just resend all the messages between them, so it should be just the Kamailio sitting at the middle (only thing i would like to change is add username & password for register to my provider) Is it possible to achieve something like this with Kamailio?

Hello, I'm starting learning kamailio with fusionPBX - FS. I need to learn how to do load balance with wan interfaces, when my ethernet provider goes down the kamailio redirect to another FreeSwitch. Please could you teach the minimal to do this? I appreciated your videos.

Hello. Do you mean your kamailio will connect via Multiple WAN link to different sites that they have FreeSWITCH? then you can use the same dispatcher module that I explained.

it can be used with any packets . it just a way of forwarding packets ( it just have a mechanism to check if the servers are live or not . It wont check if it can be registered or not ) So If you mean the mod_dispatch to check if registrations is possible and then send the packets I dont think so its possible and youd better to check with some one else as Im not sure. If you just want to forward registration packets based on the fact the forwarded server is live, its possible . There are some links in the kamailio wiki on how to forward the registration or integrate with asterisk that can help you but Im not aware of any step by step updated document that I can share.
