Film academic, author and filmmaker, K. Hariharan, whose book titled ‘Kamal Haasan: A Cinematic Journey’, tries to make sense of his career through 40 films of his illustrious career that spans more than six decades and close to 250 films, was in conversation with Mr. Haasan’s close collaborators, actor Nasser and actor Abhirami here at the final session at The Hindu Lit For Life 2025 here at the Sir Mutha Venkatasubba Rao Concert Hall at Lady Andal School here in Chennai on Sunday.

In Kuruthipunal, the operation was called Dhanush, and not Vikram. Just a small correction. Well made discourse. Kudos. But some of the audience questions were not addressed to the point. It could have been addressed better. As Mr.Hariharan said, Kamal should have been somewhere else. He hasnt got his due as much he . The tamil audience and Indian cinema at large owes a lot to his dedication and contribution, not to mention his sacrifices. One Indian 2 doesnt make Kamal a bad actor or Shankar a bad director. This movie was caught up in a whirlpool of time lapse, production challenges, accidents and loss of lives of technicians and actors during the tenure of its making. I would still say Indian 2 is a much better movie than many other mediocre movies that are being dished out in the industry. Awaiting Indian 3 to repair the damages that was caused by Indian 2.
