Instead, read Toru Dutt, Tagore, RK Narayan, Manohar Malgaokar, Keki Daruwala, Nissim Ezikiel.. Shri Aurobindo Ghosh eminent freedom fighter, yogi and great scholar in English is the greatest India poet in English. Very very tough and highly scholarly English and poetic thoughts. Educated in Cambridge and selected for Indian Civil Services more than 100 years ago, but didn't join.

My story first written as Ente Katha in Malayalam by Kamala Das.
