Kamala Harris blasted for ‘fake and staged’ post amid hurricane response criticism

US Vice President Kamala Harris has been slammed online after she posted a photo to X in response to the ongoing Hurricane Helene devastation.
Social media users on X were quick to call out the photo as “staged”, with many pointing out Harris’ headphones were not plugged into her phone.
“Everything about you is fake. Phone unplugged. Blank paper. On a flight to your next fundraiser. All a metaphor for your candidacy. Just a hollow shell of staged photo ops,” wrote one user.
Shortly after Harris posted to X, former US president Donald Trump called out the VP’s photo as “fake and staged” in a post to Truth Social on Sunday.
“Another FAKE and STAGED photo from someone who has no clue what she is doing. You have to plug the cord into the phone for it to work,” Trump wrote.
