Kaman - Nostalgia (VSL Synchron Steinway D-274)

Hi !! Many thanks and I also have the Synchron D274 piano and really like it. However I find there is some VERY bad overtones around keys D2. I'm not sure if my setup is making it worst but it can sound unpleasant when this key is played. What are your thoughts ????

Hi there! I haven't noticed the bad overtones around that particular note, but I find that the sound can drastically change with your mic setup. I finally found one that I seem to be relatively happy with for now. It's a blend of tube, mid 1, condenser and the surround mics. Also did you try EQing? Your hardware setup may also have an effect. Plus the velocity curve. I hope this helps!
