It’s beyond ridiculous at this point that Toei chooses to release just two episodes. They could have reached out to the fan sub community and I’m sure a few of them would have jumped at the chance to sub KR from the original to its current series for just a “translated by” credit. Hasbro has the rights to the Sentai and they’re doing nothing with it, we’ll probably never see anything before Jetman or after Shout! did their last Sentai release. Meanwhile, Tsuburaya gave the rights to Ultra to MillCreek entertainment to release pretty much everything Ultra so far except a movie here and there and the stage shows. Makes no sense.

I love this community. 🥰 Thanks for your comments. / I like Zi-O too, his plot was good and I didn't feel really annoyed between the two parts. I think the idea of a kid who's predestinated to become an evil king and have to fight to become who he really wants to be is good. And I liked Decade presence. X)

Isn't this the plot of anime where a kid is or is going to become a demon king? I think we need to be honest that these shows are written for kids and never meant to be that complex, just convoluted as some works tend to be.

@@blumiu2426 Sincerely, that's for kids. But some subjects are more mature than some of occidental kids' contents. Like the death, bully, adult concerns, etc. They show a young adult who quits his childhood to grow up. I'm not sure to write it well but, it's another way than the one we know, we're used to, which is more hard and sensible. Otherwise, yes, it has a lot of kid jokes, characters who have a childish mentality, etc. I like it, because I laugh a lot and there are some good subjects sometimes too. I won't say that's better than any other tv serie, I'm just fan. (And it's not that good. Just a sympathic content which isn't too stupid.)

@@asarei65 I'm not necessarily criticizing it, because it clearly is what it is and written for youth. There are some things they can discuss and I certainly would have preferred this over other kid's shows growing up. From what I've gathered however, Kamen Rider unfortunately doesn't get the best writers and problematic individuals at the detriment of the longevity and reception of series. THAT shouldn't be the case. There is a big tonal shift if you look at the older Kamen Rider shows to now, and whatever the cultural outlook is, it's lost something. Not necessarily the maturity even though that is one aspect, but the shows now try to be live-action anime instead of being natural. The introduction/setups seem a bit more rushed or saved for later instead of from the start; why does a guy want to be King (translation issue?) when Japan has had Emperors and how is that practical? Kids don't need things dumbed down this much, so they can raise the bar and raise the budgets.

I watch it without paying attention to some details like natural logic, sci-fi effects or people bahavour (childish), because I know I won't be able to appreciate it. I would like to know why the serie has changed (is it because of western adaptations ?) and why the scenarists don't make correct (at the begining to the end) plots. I also think they could do better and wouldn't spoil the series. I hope they'll think about it again to do something japanese children will like and something that will be really correct. About the " animetization ", that's totally right. Maybe they think the children like it this way more. Era changed three times, so, I guess they try to be attractive and modern. Maybe one day soon, they will do something that will really be great, working hard on it. Maybe they could hire new scenarists and give them a chance to take care of Kamen Rider. Rejoice! For Kamen Rider Zi-O's first episode has arrived! This was the first Kamen Rider show I ever watched in its entirety (though I'd seen clips of other shows and a scattered episode of Dragon Knight when it was first airing). It was a wild and fun ride and pushed me down the road towards being the Rider and Ultra fan I am today. It no longer holds the spot as my favorite Rider series (that honor is a tie between Kuuga and Kiva), but it will always hold a special place in my heart.

Thank you for sharing this Toei! Zi-O is very special to me, This episode even more so. It's the first full episode I watched as It aired on TV while I was staying in Japan. Went to be when I got there, woke up the next day Just in time to watch Kamen Rider. Even better was the wall sized TV my host Eiji had! Seeing my friends CG work on a near theater sized screen was amazing. Thank you for uploading this episode, It's been great reminiscing about 2018~

The show being a mess was a foregone conclusion given that "Kento Shimoyama" and "Nobuhiro Mouri" were writing it. Kento gave us "Shuriken Sentai Ninninger" the (currently) worst sentai to date, and Nobuhiro gave us "Uchu Sentai Kyuranger"; which while not as bad as Ninninger, I still thought was pretty bad. That's the price we have to pay when executive producer (and Showa Era fanboy) "Shinichiro Shirakura" thought it would be a great idea to appoint 2 writers whose approach to comedy is "If the audience didn't think my joke was funny when I made it the first time, SURELY they'll think it's funny when I make it the twelfth time". Because apparently no one ever told Kento and Nobuhiro that writing tokusatsu, and writing "Crayon Shin-chan" are 2 different things. Then again, maybe Shirakura gave them those positions because he has a fetish for suckups; which Kento is notorious for being. To the point that during Zi-O's production, Kento displayed an almost fanatical devotion to Shinichiro that reminded me of the relationship between Victor Vincent and Monty from "Power Rangers Ninja Stale"; and that relationship could easily be classified as "Ambiguously Gay".

Zi-O has always been my favorite , maybe because this was the first Kamen Rider I watched , I actually didn’t get to watch the full episodes until it came to DVD , but I watched everything I could on KZbin with Zi-O , I like the driver more than the others as well. The show isn’t more comedy than serious , which some shows can be. This one has more of a serious tone to it. I have a few Kamen Rider complete series sets now , they are all great , I just prefer Zi-O , and Tsukuyomi isn’t bad to look at either. I just wish they would make a premium action figure of her. I like Uru also , I know it’s a guy , but I think he could go either way if you ask me LOL. Pretty cool in this series. And I could swear he was in Alice in Borderland but I’m not one hundred percent positive. If anyone knows I would appreciate it if you could tell me. There’s an actor in that series that resembled him but I couldn’t swear it’s the same person. 👍👍👍✌️✌️✌️

I’ve bought Saber , Zero One , Ghost , Den-O and Build as well as Zi-O. I have no complaints. 👍👍👍✌️✌️✌️
