They might be as strong as Goku at the end of Dragonball now. This was always a weird episode for me: The Saiyans are not named after vegetables in the dub, they are "Shorty" and "Scarface". In Japanese they are Punkin and Broco (not to be confused with Broly). They are supposedly on the Saiyan home world... at this point in the series assumed to be Planet Vegeta, which is established in the next episode to have 10X Earth's gravity, but none of them struggle. Yamcha knows the "Spirit Bomb" (it's supposed to be the Spirit Ball) The deaths of everyone (except Yajirobe) were very violent. Like Krillin getting pulled from the ground upset me as a kid. Recently, I rewatched DBZ Kai, I realized that Gohan is only aware of Krillin... when he meets Tien and Chiaotzu when the Saiyans arrive, he could have easily mistaken them for the 2 aliens.

We don’t even consider the gravity discrepancy! If we had that would have likely been the episode title 😂
