My 12 year old son is sitting here while I'm watching this and when Jere said the grown-ups need to step back and let the kids enjoy each other, he said "YEAH!!" You hit the nail right on the head!

I worked in the school system for over 30 years as a teacher assistant. I have a learning disability and even tho school was rough for me and I really didn’t like it, I felt that teaching kids with disabilities could work well for me coz I could relate in ways with the kids. I live in Central Florida and many teachers and parents knew I was a lesbian they respected me of the way I respected their children. I didn’t treat them like they had a disability and the kids and parents treated me the same as well.
