I interpreted as the poetic voice changing throughout the poem it kind of goes through generations. from saying "yes your grandfathers boat" and then to "till gradually too we learnt"

youre actually so so helpful but could you pleasee try to make your quotes a bit short when youre analysing because its really hard to keep long quotes and analysis in memory
