Played against a Kaminari who utilized the electricity trail on alpha to the fullest it was honestly really impressive. He’d use it to zone and because the circle was so small, you’d be forced onto it eventually. The buff they made to it is pretty decent

I mained Kaminari in S1, dropped the game at the start of S2 due to hackers and bugs, got to nearly Ace rank. Personally, I was going to main Kaminari no matter how good or bad he was since he's just my favorite character. I actually quite enjoyed him in this game, his Alpha has great utility for area denial. The only things I didn't like were how vulnerable his beta left him, the fact that his best close-range 1v1 tool (Gamma) was also his only mobility option, and that his Special skill was extremely hard to hit, and felt pretty underpowered in comparison to characters like Bakugo who could practically fly. I did manage to find a very specific use for his Special skill to guarantee a KO on anyone in the cast besides Kirishima as well as some other tech for him. He really did feel like a character that didn't just play the game for you but also wasn't completely useless. Like I said, I quit at the end of S1, and I recently returned to the game and honestly I feel like he's been mostly left in the dust due to powercreep. I noticed they gave an extra charge of his Gamma which was really nice, but apart from that not only has he just seemingly been left untuned, but the meta is currently shifting in a direction that does not benefit him, with so many characters that can fly around and attack from afar, Denki having the second shortest Alpha range (at least, I think I'm remembering that right) and still sorely lacking in mobility makes him fall way behind in the current meta. Right now the best way to play him is to ambush players indoors, which restricts their ability to just fly off the moment they take damage and nuke you from orbit. And that's not even mentioning the fact his Special skill is bugged right now. It's amazingly even worse than it was when the game first came out since it prevents you from stunning your opponent after using it.

Always always always put traps on loot because for some reason people disregard everything for rainbows and you can one shot rapids from full health if you shoot them while they are stunned from traps and that buff made it CRAZY.
