Unlike the other archons, Venti gets away from being suspected as the Anemo Archon because he only lives in Mondstadt during certain periods of time before returning to his centuries long slumber. When it comes to how Zhongli can get away living his retired life, many in Liyue already suspect him of being an Adepti but are uncertain of which one.

Yeah he and his dad were knights, but when his dad used a delusion and died tryna protect diluc, the knights of favonious covered it up as if his dad never existed. That’s why he left the knights. You can read the web toon on the hoyoverse page, it’s where I got this information
