As in, she wanted to make the trial SEEM more dire, to truly test the resolve of her companions, but didn't actually want to kill us (personally still am unsure whether that last part is true), since she knew Phainon would come to help. But also that still was a test for _us_, and for Phai and Cas - only an opportunity to strengthen the bond with the MC and DH. She wouldn't punish them for anything, even if we just left. She has no reason to get rid of basically two of the only four (well, six if we count Tribbie as three lol) for someone else's mistake? As for how the rumors slipped past her. I don't think the trial was about the rumours. If anything, I feel like she couldn't care aby less about some images and rumours being spread - rumours are fickle. But what she couldn't accept is us directly telling about the other worlds to that guy as he was about to jump over the edge of the gardens. Because that is 100% on us, even if it was to save his life

Honestly I hated Aglaea after that. Not only does she withhold information from her people for the good (in her opinion), killing aliens whose influence you know nothing about will NOT help you in saving your home, but will only bring more trouble. None of the "wrong" choices indicated that we were trying to directly harm Amphoreus (other than "we're going to crush this place", which she took as a joke), so the only reason she killed us was simply a lack of honesty. It was very stupid and reckless.

While I agree that this was very... Out of pocket, and honestly she is very ruthless (you can tell a bit by her demeanor in lots of other things, really), this just made her more interesting to me? At first I hated her, but you have to understand her PoV a bit too: to complete strangers who posses info that could quite literally unleash a nuclear attack on your planet just because of the information leaks ARE a little bit scary and it might be better if they weren't here at all. She also tells Tribbie later that she never would kill us, but I'm not sure how truthful that is tbh

@andyleech342 Well, yeah, she is arrogant, you're right. Tbh outside of the test, I'd argue she's actually being fairly nice, even. The fact that she didn't even apologise does give off really off-putting vibes, but in a way that unapologetic...ness?? Is what makes her interesting to me. I dunno how far you're into the story, but it's also been mentioned in passing as to why she may be acting like this - although I'm not sure what that even means for her to experience that. On another note, if anything, she's pretty utilitarian - I think at this point she _expects_ herself to die by the end of the prophecy? That or really doesn't care what happens to her after it all regardless. In that sense burning bridges and breaking trust is all right, as long as the world is saved I understand people disliking her overall, to be fair. And she does act pretty ridiculous - especially after the main quest in her side quest where she asks for a favour "as a friend" (basically direct quote from her). That honestly made me laugh because I don't want to be even near that woman outside of business lol But again, personally that arrogance/utilitarianism is what makes her interesting to me. I think she could really shine with more development - would be really interesting to see if her views on others actually backfire on her at some point, too Sorry if I sounded mean in any of this, didn't want to!

Honestly, I prefer a character that evokes at least some emotion in me, even if it’s negative, that’s much better than typical flawless characters who are so indistinguishable from each other that all I feel towards them is indifference. I like that Aglaea has flaws, but without proper character growth, I’m afraid they don’t mean much. The audience will still possibly find her unlikable or even see her as an example of bad writing, especially considering her sudden change in behavior towards the protagonist, as you mentioned. So, we’ll see, I guess. And you absolutely didn’t sound mean, I’m sorry if I did.

Although her calling us a friend, I think, is not just hoyo trying to shill - but how she acts generally. All friendly and nice until she has any reason not to treat you nicely. Her calling us a friend in that sense, I don't think is very genuine. Maybe she _does_ consider us as one at this point, but also what a friend is to her seems much less... Intimate than what it means to most people. Ironic about how much she talks about people undressing and showing their true selves lol... I really liked this scene and Aglaea's character as a whole throughout Chapter 1. She's a really interesting character, just like every one of the heirs. But here we get to see something more than just platitudes; we see that even the demigods make mistakes. She genuinely went a bit too far, and she realized it and took a step back. That's nice character building. I also love how Castorice told Phainon. Her character really interests me and that was a plot beat I didn't expect.

She makes us sign a deal with her, but refuses to communicate the dangers/consequences of it, then acts like we (who just saved their arses) are the villains for telling someone the literal truth to stop him from offing himself. 💀 Also, how is lying protecting them? She is punishing and sentencing people (even executing them) for telling the truth, just because it's inconvenient to her. And it's only more dangerous. It's going to make people want to find out the truth when they realize they are being lied to, motivating them to do the exact thing she wants to prevent. Why can't she be honest, and admit there is a world beyond the skies, but they literally *can't* reach it, because a titan will nuke them all if they try? It would make the common enemy said titan, instead of innocent civilians who know the truth. I have no idea how they passed making this character (Aglaea) and how they are going to sell her. This is a Chinese company. And her character is terrifyingly similar to Chinese dictatorship, with people put in jail or even executed for criticizing the leaders/telling the truth and exposing their conspiracies. I can't imagine Asian players are going to like her. Well you have to understand her PoV. She's trying to do everything to keep the world alive. Then two strangers appear out of nowhere who literally possess information that, if leaked, could unleash basically a nuclear attack on the city, as far as she's aware. They may have helped (but also they didn't have much of a choice, what, are you supposed to just hide or run away and die in a ditch instead of fighting?), but you know nothing about how reliable they are, and then they break the ONLY rule you've set not even one hour after you gave it to them. spoiler alert aglaea didn't want to kill us anyway, she wanted to test our character, but she realized that cas sent a sos message to phainon to stop the interrogation, so she just added the threat of death to make the test even harder. Basically, she's playing the villain, and most of us fell for it.

Sure MC/Dan Heng had faults for the rumors beyond the sky, but since it wasnt their intention to spread it I just thought Aglaea would have a bit of leniency for the good deeds we have done for the city so far. Regardless, Aglaea should also take a blame for not telling them the reprecussions of telling things beyond the sky since she didnt tell the full truth despite "laying her bare heart" at TB.

I give honest answer and everything went smoothly but I don't trust Aglaea one who sacrifice her heart for her land and people is wrong chose and will make chooses base on what is right and wrong or base on responsibility so I can trust her because of the her friends and because of her responsibility as Demigod. If you play the story you will find in the beginning everything and anything happening in her land is connected to her by the golden thread and she's said that by her self when she talk with teacher the three little girl. She know Castorice contact Phainon to save us and know what happened with the guy who take March camera but not talk with us. She only want to see what are we made of. As for the TB he/she when Castorice touch us almost finish us I think we all really disappointed from the TB being a scary and did even resist like bro death is front you why you let her touch you.
