Kammans Trail Season 2: Irish sika stalking

Sika is iconic for the green island of Ireland. Follow Jacob on a hunting trip for the elusive sika and see what happens when you try to stalk on crutches! The hunt was organized and conducted with help from my good friend Norman Mulvany from Irish Safaris.

If this was before the rut it would mean Hinds (females) are not in season and by your thumbnail you ended up shooting a hind which is called poaching

The main movie is made up of two parts... first part during the rut, second part in december... So no Poaching, you Can rest easy and go police something Else on the internet...🙄😉

Lee Bonnie If you knew anything qbout Ireland and The wilderness of Ireland you'd know Sika is not native. If the animal is not native it can be hunted year round. Maith an fear Do some research before you decide to be a pain in the hole. Also Rialtais na hÉireann promotes the hunting of Honds outside the rutting season because there's too many females and not enough males leading to inbreeding. And if you kill off all the young healthy males you have the same stags going at the same hinds. So it is advised to change up the targeting

@@deaganachomarunacathasaigh4344 You cant actually shoot Sika all year round in Ireland. You still have to abide by the NWPS seasons. The only real invasive species you can hunt all year round in Ireland is the Muntjac. Yes they are invasive, but so are the Fallow, brought here by the Vikings. The only real native species in Ireland is the Red deer.
