The sound mixing in this film is terrible, and the editing lacks coherence. The direction feels unimaginative, as if the camera was just turned on to capture whatever was happening without any effort to craft a visual narrative. I would love to see more effort from the team, especially with sound. Why not record sound on location instead of relying on studio recordings? This used to be the standard, and with the resources available today, there’s no excuse for not doing better. As for Shakir Shad’s vision as a director, I find it uninspired-almost lazy. There’s nothing engaging or worthwhile happening in terms of direction. The music and sound effects were also off-putting, and the absence of original sound recording is disappointing. After watching this film, I’m left questioning whether the team was genuinely interested in making it or if they were somehow forced into it. I’ve followed Shakir Shad’s career and watched all his films, but it seems he hasn’t improved in any meaningful way. The acting in this movie was riddled with overacting, which I attribute to the director’s guidance-or lack thereof. Since the director is ultimately responsible for the film’s output, this reflects poorly on his leadership. The storytelling lacks a strong visual language. Perhaps this story would have been better suited to a novel format, as it fails to engage visually. Despite my criticisms, I wish the team the best of luck with Part 2 and hope they address these issues moving forward.
