No one says that though. They've been awarded with the Swedish Public Education Award for telling history as it is in a way that reaches hundreds of thousands. There is absolutely nothing glorifying in their lyrics, quite the opposite.

The only time I know that sabaton has truly taken a stance on war is the song (I'm afraid I have forgotten the name) condemning and patranizing the Taliban.

People telling that are those who don't understand music in general. I know some of these people. Usually they also don't understand nor can they follow the lyrics of a song. For them, a song that talks about any bad occasion in history is pro-war, all rap-music comes from criminal gangs, all metal is pure evil and satanic and so on and so on. In short: They are an absolute embarassement to themselfs xD They can not comprehend that music is not all about pure happiness, but it often enough tells truth, even the uncomfortable one. :)

I’m not joking when saying that Christmas Truce is one of the best Christmas songs overall and needs to be played more and recognized as such. It’s got great composition, a strong history behind it, and meaningful lyrics about the love of humanity rather than encouraging people to buy presents. It works as a metal song but as a church choir song as well and I’d love to hear it played more during the holiday season.

Nádherné provedení kloboček všem zúčastněným jeden z nejlepších coverů od Sabatonu co jsem slyšel . Kvalita videa sice trošku horší ale zase ne tolik aby to jakkoliv rušilo souhlasím že by to chtělo profesionální zpracování protože tohle si oficiální video zaslouží. Ještě jeden postřeh je parádní pozorovat jak to dirigentka a patrně i vedoucí sboru nádherně prožívá.
