Before I started watching this channel, my image of a "private zoo" was a seedy Tiger King-type roadside attraction with a few large mammals stuffed into filthy cages. Seeing the amount of love, knowledge and care that Kenan puts into the Kamp has really changed my mind about private ownership of exotic animals (as long as they are well cared for, of course).

Kenan……just a quick tip for crate training. Do it in small intervals. Five minutes, let him out. Do that a few times a day for a few days. Then increase to 10 minutes, etc. A crate should be their safe place where they want to be and never a punishment or negative. If you do short times they get use to it easier as they know they’ll be let out soon. I was a dog trainer for 45 years and I live in Martin County. I’m happy to help if needed. It can be frustrating, I know. 😉❤️🐾

I can't imagine how cool it must be to wake up every morning and be Kenan. I wish I lived somewhere warm enough that my pond didn't freeze over. Ohio isn't exactly conducive to keeping tropical fish and awesome turtles outside year round. I would love to just walk out front or out back with my morning coffee and just hang out with all those cool animals and listen to the water.

We moved down on the gulf side right at the Manatee River and Anna Maria Island beach. Anytime we go anywhere, we cross over the water and it’s been heaven! Just had dinner at the beach this evening…. U won’t regret the move!!

My favorite part of these feeding vidoes is how well you know your turtles. Tossinf the food by the log knowing turts are there is just so telling to how well you know your animals. The variety of turtles and care you put into them is fantastic. I wish more herp owners would be so dikigent in their care. Love your place!

I love that big beautiful dark, round eye on the Indian Spotted Turtle. Her spots are cool too - but THAT FACE!!! A trillion likes for that face.

Highly agree the most common are the most overlooked! I have a lovely stinkpot who is just a joy to watch and beyond easy to care for. They're a great indoor species due to their small size of 4 inches for males. I'm very excited for the puppy too! I know the kids have been really looking forward to having a dog!

Congrats on the new pup! For the kennel training for the pup, just start with small periods at first and build up to longer periods and give him something fun to do while they are in the kennel. Food toys work great for this purpose. Best of luck.

Glad to hear you have a puppy but not a fan of the whole crate thing. Doggos need close contact with their humans 24/7. And if you don't want them in the bed then a dog bed in your bedroom works wonders. But it's up to you. Just my opinion. Love the way the turtles are doing, they are so cool and can't wait for the caiman to arrive, your reptile family is growing by leaps and bounds.
