Caiman Creek just continues to offer up joyous surprises... from Marge climbing the fence to move in with Lucifer to the eggs being found all over the smooth front enclosure. Happy to see the Red foot tortoises are all still enjoying their summer camp with unlimited weeds to eat. And now, a glorious Rain Shower ! Fred would be so proud and happy !!!

Kenan, if you're buying your sphagnum moss from the pet store you can save some money by buying it from a hardware store like Lowe's or Home Depot. It's the same thing but cheaper because it's not being marketed as a pet product. In general, when you have identical items and one is marketed for a hobby (plastic models, crafting, pets, etc.) and the other is for general use, the one for the hobby trade is almost always more expensive.

@cflin4637 Жыл бұрын
I'm not going to pretend to be any sort of expert, but I think a better sign of their being happy with their environment would be the eggs getting laid in a nest, as they would in their natural environment. I really don't know. I think the reason might not be discontentment rather the eggs aren't fertile. Like I said, not an expert... Just a theory from an expert couch KZbin critic.

Heya @Kenan ! So, I know I wasn't the one who smelled the eggs, but just thought I'd let you know that caiman eggs do start to stink naturally. It's reminds me of the smell of like... a bad pastry. It's kind of a rancid butter kinda grossness. We love them, though, so it's hard to judge how the eggs smell. Again, you are the one who is in there smelling this stuff and you know what bad eggs smell like. I always think that smell is really specific. There's not much else that stinks like bad eggs. Anyway, great video! I'm always keeping up with ya my dude. You should go hug some camels soon and collab with your boy Chandler some more. lol

Hey, I just wanted to give my two cents on the eggs. You hit it on the head with how you incubat the eggs with what they need. You should dig a hole as much as you can. 4 feat wide mabey three deep . Then lay a few inches of gravel. Then, backfill with compost, the decomposing waste will create what she wants to lay her eegs in.
