Hi Kenan Love Slinky. It was great to see him out of his awesome enclosure. He wasn't sure about that turtle so close. Loves his croc chow. He is sure food motivated. He saw that rat and went into the water fast. You made him work for his food😅. Nice to see Matt in the water with him. I thought that he would eat in the water, but ate on land. He is such a gentle giant water monitor. I really enjoyed this video, and would like to see him out of his enclosure again. Sooty that my comment was late.❤Love all of your reptiles. Cindy

I was in Sri Lanka last week - at a beach front restaurant with a fresh water stream down the back. The chef came over and said come look at this. I had no idea what he was going to show us but i wanted to see. It was a water monitor about 1.5 the size of Slinky. I wish I could post photos to KZbin comments. It was so cool to see such a large monitor within touching distance. Apparently they feed him fish heads and he comes by the restaurant pretty frequently and is a friendly boy.

What a wonderful surprise.... Slinky's innate instinct to be wary about large bodies of water makes great evolutionary sense, and his reaction to Freida was fascinating. Matt was right, his body language changed. And he seemed very wary about going in ! But who can resist a big, juicy RAT ! Wonderful !!! And love your commentary, Matt... and your willingness to enter the action ! This video was GREAT !
