KG seems to be a busy player, not attractive but highly effective. Got some shots, plays spin well. Gonna make big runs, got habit of making 100s, understands phases, respects when bowlers have edge and waits for his time. Count number of dot ball when he was around 74. A good 70 in 2nd innings will take his stock sky high.

Pakistan makes 400, test match in bag 100%. Pak has experienced spinners, must trust them. Eng can't play spin, watch highlight from India series, keep field placement like Rohit, don't give square boundaries sweep or reverse sweep, mid on, mid off up, bowl maidens, take catches, Eng will gave wickets themselves. Eng are flat track bullies. Unless you have someone of caliber of Bumrah, you can't challenge eng batsman on these slow Pitches with pace, 3 spinners are good. Spinners must vary pace. Best chance for a turnaround. Good luck Pak.

@@sportingmyths as I had predicted. We have seen this movie from England/Australia/SA time and again. A good 70/80 from Kamran will set up the match nicely in Paks favor. Leg spinner needs to develop googly and flipper on turning tracks.

It's a fact that you can only field me 11 players, one comes in other has to go out. Would it had been fair to KG had he been asked to open in place of Saim with Babar still at 4. This has happened in recent past with so many players. Waleed is right. Fail to understand so much hue and cry on Babar's omission, squad was announced for 1st test only, 18 innings is a good sample size. You can't score on highway then where are you gonna score. Cricket is already on ventilator, stadiums are empty, sponsors are nowhere. Good strategy by selectors, only way to beat Eng. Stick to plans, gonna work soon.

I actually agree with Waleed on principle. You can criticize this board for being reactive on multiple occasions but this isn't one. Matter of fact I was expecting that to have happened right after the BD series. That was the perfect time with the Champions Cup coming. PCB should have informed Babar and Shaheen to both focus on CT, and play all 50-over games including the Pakistan Cup thats coinciding with Eng tour. Participate in all 50 over games, skip all tests and T20Is.
