Maybe this will help. Although Japanese pronounce it as"Gakuto Kamui," when GACKT rights his name, he always writes it as GACKT Camui. You can see it in his old autographs when he signed with his full name "Gackt Camui," and in all of the credits in the back of CDs and end of videos as "Gackt.C" (or now as "GACKT.C"). It's always been written GACKT, though--never Gakuto. Maybe it's clearer to say that there's no singer named "Gakuto," but there is a "GACKT." Ahhh... did that help?

Yeah, his wife had an emotional breakdown and left him. It was really tragic because she was the one to ask him in the first place if she could marry into the family register and although he tried, he couldn't help her when fangirls started harrassing them. He was 20 at the time.
