Alto A whistle. Is that what is is? I tried it on a Dixon G and a Generation Bflat neither of which match Brian’s rendition. Although the Bflat is acceptably close

Thanks for asking ! It goes pretty well, I recorded this after one year of daily training : www.partitions.bzh/partition/858_Eanach_Dh%C3%BAin And I'm almost able to play the whole Morrison's Jig with a good flow (on a low whistle... needed to work my breath first) Now i'm on the Irish flute... the transition went pretty well except i'm still not used to have less breath autonomy...

+david vincent I have been playing the flute for a year now and one tip instead of adding more pressure to your breaths for the higher octaves change your embouchure it will give your high notes less of a flat and windy sound

Amazing how the whistle can be picked up so precisely from a static microphone. I normally have to get up right close to the mike in order to be heard. Tried attached mikes but with not much improved results, mind you, I'm a bit lame on the whistle compared to this guy! Awesome stuff, the whole band. Love and peace.
