We spent a wonderful month in Kanab exploring amazing places. Peek-a-boo, The Wave, White Pocket, Lake Powell, Bryce Canyon, Zion, Grand Canyon (North Rim), Toadstools, Wire Pass, Buckskin Gulch, Lees Ferry, etc.

Brought back so many memories of our time there. I feel sorry for all the people who will never experience it and I pity the people who could, but don't want to.

I like your comment! When were you there? We are flying to Vegas from Wisconsin this Sunday and are visiting Kanab and other spots in So. Utah. Any special places you liked that aren't on this video?

Such a beautiful place . He didn't mention BEST FRIENDS animal rescue just outside Kanab. It will bring pride and tears to your eyes. Dogs, cats, horses, pigs, etc. Full no kill rescue with vet services. We visited and then volunteered during our stay last summer. Visitors welcome.

Every summer for last ten years, I have hit the road ... 9000 miles and 25 days later and I am back home in Ottawa, Canada. The U.S. southwest is amazing ...you name the place and I have probably seen it but I still really enjoyed this video and think I might dedicate my next trip to entirely to this part of Utah. One place you could add to your trip next time is Toroweap Overlook ... maybe 85 miles from Kanab but those 85 miles take 4 hours to drive.

Toroweep overlook, and camping amazing did in Oct. 2020, for 2 nights! Kanab another night, base long term was Durango Colorado. Agree, get a 4 wheel drive vehicle and permits and camp there

Like Jon, we have gone to the southwest USA repeatedly, for the last 3 years until Covid. We had to cancel a trip planned for spring 2020, but hope to do it this fall. Our trips are 12-14 days, and we fly from Toronto to either Las Vegas or Phoenix, rent a car and put on about 1500 miles each time going from park to park. Thanks for the tour, Larsons; there were some places we haven't seen.

Thanks for the video. My wife and I just spent the past four months at Glacier National Park and are heading to Kanab at the end of the month. We will have a short two week stop in Moab on our way there. This video will give us plenty of great ideas for the time we will be in Kanab.

I stayed at Kenab for a week, such an ideal place to make trips. I went to bryce, pink sanddunes and I visited Zion even twice because I loved it so much. ik visited the animal sanctuary and, since my name is Tom, I HAD to walk through Tom's canyon thank you for bringing back the memories

I see several places I missed on my swing thru the region in 2018 so now have to do it again! Appreciate the work you put in labeling all the spots!

Great video ! I was in Kanab just a week ago in Hog Canyon 1 area and the sand dunes near Peek-a-Boo. Add to your list 2 places to eat in Kanab. Big Al's (burgers and shakes), and Escobar's Mexican Food. Both excellent choices. Get there early as they are very popular and wait lines form fast.

Very nice video. I lived in NE AZ several years and fortunately visited some of the places you highlighted. The others remain on my “bucket list”. Living back east now, but seeing all this amazing beauty makes me miss it a great deal. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for all the information. We went on a family vacation to Kanab a few years ago but only saw a fraction of what you did. Time to load up the vehicle again for a return visit!

Sorry forgot to mention earlier. My question was for the Wave lottery
@davidlarson39152 жыл бұрын
We went to lottery 8 times before we luckily got picked. Most of the time there were 50-100 people (each representing a group). Not very good odds. Anyway, you must get a guide and go to White Pocket. No permits required and I think it is as good as the Wave. You must have guide to get through the sandy bad roads. Recommend Coral Cliffs Tours. Also highly recommend "Toadstools" and "Wire Pass to Buckskin Gulch" (same parking lot as the "The Wave").
