The fact that Ukraine is able to use aircraft a stones throw from the front line 3 years into the war... Russian air force and ground based air defenses on new year holiday?
@Islacrusez18 күн бұрын
They might make it look easy, but we shouldn’t lose sight of how much work goes into making that happen. Ukraine has spent a lot of time and a lot of munitions neutralising Russian air defences, creating gaps by attacking unprotected targets, depleting stocks by having Russia expend them on drones while also attacking logistics/storage/production facilities to keep stocks low. Additionally, note the tactics used - flying low, then a sharp climb to lob the bombs and back down on the deck - designed to minimise threat from hostile air defences. It’s outrageous that they’re able to do it at all, for sure, but they’ve worked very hard to make it possible!

This raid by Ukrainian with an Su-25, demonstrates how unreliable the Russian air-defense systems are, if the Russians can't stop 25 year old Russian equipment, who would be willing to purchase a new S-500, against modern aircraft, such as in NATO... Arsenal?
@lattehour18 күн бұрын
the rusian airdefences are now concentrated near moscow rostov kursk etc to protect actives sites like depoes factories energy assets etc whatever rusia had near the frontlines was destroyed there is no escape if ukraine sees an s300 or s400 it`s stormshadow on it in a matter of minutes

@@Islacrusez this newer scalp`s can be controlled in real time from sats no need for the aircraft to stay near if the rus moves the s400 it helps nothing sat data is almost real time they will likely hit it

The Ukrainians are getting intelligence aid or help and information from some members of the Nato as well ... Yes , drones can help destroy air defenses first and then the Himars rockets and the gliding bombs do their jobs eliminating some military positions ...

Used to be you would dive over the target when dropping bombs but this is very cool how the plane is climbing when releasing the bombs, the US does this also as you can literally (throw) the bombs to longer distances so you don't have to fly over the defended area you are bombing. These bombs have fins on them and are probably GPS guided to help steer the bombs and if so they are extremely accurate. Go Ukraine !

I just looked at some webcam in Kiev and couldnt see any snow on the ground there. That said the trees do look a bit green for this time of year so it might be stock footage from earlier in the war. The military dont normally release videos soon after an attack in case they give away tactics.

now that AASM is only French he says "French" but when it's "storm shadow" he assumes everything is "British" even if France delivered the same missile to ukraine under the name of "Scalp EG" and it's impossible to make the difference between the 2 since both names are written on the missile ...
@Statueshop29718 күн бұрын
More people know what stormshadow is. It’s just like how all M270 and their munitions are called himars
@johndoe-cd9vt18 күн бұрын
@@Statueshop297 it doesn't matter, UK is not allowed to deliver that missile without the agreement of France. When Ukraine fire that missile, most of the time, we don't know if it was a SCALP or a Storm Shadow, so it's very annoying to see all these channel pretending Ukraine is firing storm shadows non stop...
@Statueshop29718 күн бұрын
@@johndoe-cd9vt what we do know is that the U.K. had double the number of missiles than France so has probably given more. France went down to 150 active from 500 years ago. Now how many of the inactive ones have been reactivated, refurbished in an unknown. Also how many of Frances initial 500 were sold in rafale deals is again unknown. I think your getting annoyed over nothing. Most times I’ve heard about it being fired it’s either been storm shadow or scalp that it’s been called. Sometimes it’s called both names.

3:23 - russia doesn't have troops anywhere near Finland and their border with Finland doesn't have any troops, because they're all in Ukraine. Very big doubt to the accuracy of this. Especially considering the UK can have a shit load of tanks on the ground in Estonia within 2 days of any russian action.

Ukrainian Air Force. Ukraine obtained 92 Su-25s of different variants following the country's independence in the wake of the break-up of the USSR. As of 2004, the Ukrainian Air Force operated approximately 60 Su-25s, Su-25UBs and Su-25UTGs, with the 299th Independent Assault Regiment (299 OShAP) based at Kulbakino Air Base, Mykolaiv Oblast, and the 456th Assault Regiment (456 ShAP) at Chortkiv Air Base. Up to 30 Su-25s were reportedly stored at the 4070th Reserve Base. Evidently, the three Su-25s sold to Macedonia came from this reserve pool.[38] Ukraine's two carrier-capable Su-25UTGs were retired in 2007: one was given to Russia in exchange for a standard Su-25UB, while the other was sold to China.[47] Some of the Ukrainian Air Force's aircraft have been modernized: the modernized single-seaters are designated Su-25M1, and the two-seat trainers Su-25UBM1. The first three upgraded aircraft were delivered in 2010. At the outbreak of the war in Donbas, the Ukrainian Air Force had a fleet of around 70 Su-25s, but only about 15 were considered flyable. During the first two months of the conflict, between six and ten more Su-25s were made airworthy.[48] In 2022,14 Su-25 have reportedly been received indirectly from a third party with the aircraft originating from the Bulgarian Air force.[49] As of 2022, 31 aircraft were operational.[46][49]
