Vasantha is more appropriate than Bageswari. Hanuman informs Sri Rama that he had seen Sita with great Buyoance and joy. Bageswari ragam has a melancholic tone. Hence this is more acceptable.

Vasantha, a janya raga of Suryakantam, the 17th Melakarta raga has no Rishabam in Arohanam and no Panchamam in both Arohanam n Avarohanam. .....S M1 G3 M1 D2 N3 S / S N3 D2 M1 G3 R1 S. Instantly reminded Seetamma Mayamma' by Thyagaraja (popularly sung in Vasantha, though many sing it in Lalitha as well); apart from this , ..'Paramapurusha Jagadeesha' by Maharaja Swathi Thirunal', Natanam Adinar by Gopalakrishna Bharathi, Malmaruga Shanmukha by Papanasam Sivan are popular krities in the ragam. [ Since I said that 'Seethamma Mayamma' was sung in lalitha ragam too, I should say on lalitha...It is closely related to Vasantha, while both share similar prayogas.! Lalitha is asymmetric as it does not contain Panchamam. It is a janya of Mayamalavagowla, the 15th Melakarta ragam. Dikshitar did use this ragam in the ragamalika..' Sri Vishwanatham Bhaje.'Of course, we can find popular krits- 'Nannu brovu Lalitha' by Syama Sastri;] Here RA-GA SISTERS did sing the beautiful Ramanataka keerthanam by Arunachala kavi, very melodiously. This kriti- 'kanden kanden seetaiyaik-kanden Raghavaa', is also sung by few vocalists in other ragams, supposedly in Mukhari'. The sister duo rightly accelerated the tempo n sung by enhancing vibrancy and with further eloquence. The Charanam ( 1 alone sung, skipped 2 n 3) is sung so beautifully. Class synchronised rendition......best wishes.
