Thanx so much for speaking on this. My friend got it from her husband who was on the down low but praise the Lord she is still in the fight. She didn't find out about it until she was pregnant but the Lord spared her daughter. Her husband died a couple of years ago but a lot of grief was caused because he told her that he had lupus and since he was her husband she believed him. Prayers Up for all of those living with this disease.

God bless your friend praying for her health. I had a aunt who died from aids she got it from her boyfriend they had broken up for some months and she took him back and he gave her aids it was hard seeing her go through it. She died in the late 80’s.

This is the definition of love is blind. My friend's sister kept telling her that something was wrong but she loved him so she believed him...to her own detriment. And because he was dishonest the life insurance didn't want to pay. She had to sue them to get her money because she wanted to put that money away for her daughter in case something happens to her. Lies kill....

As long as we stay on our meds and keep up with our viral load test once undetectable, we will stay undetectable virally (suppressed). It is called U=U undetectable untransmittable it means being virally suppressed, which means there is a minimal virus in your body, which means it is under 200 under copies or below. We call it 199 and below. Thank you for having Deirdre Speaks on to share the information with others it is especially important to normalize HIV and end stigma.

I love the subject matter as I had a family member and their significant other that were both HIV positive and eventually passing away, leaving behind a 2 year old child whose status was negative after being tested. At first I was very angry and felt that they were so irresponsible for bringing a child into the world that they couldn’t be here to parent but I have since forgiven them. This child is a gift from them and is now a young adult that I love as if I brought them into the world myself. They would be so proud. I miss them so much! Thanks for sharing and teaching us about HIV and AIDS and practicing safe sex, safe SEX, SAFE SEX!!!❤🫶🏽❤️
