@@connoraugh1626 yep! they made the x base cuff too small. you should have more row on the x base then they show before you tie it off! so your base cuff will have a total of 8 layers high (counting accent beads and all). hope this helped :-)

For anyone making this cuff, please keep in mind the "five row" (6) cuff she made vs the seven row cuff she actually used makes a VERY BIG difference. Make sure you watch this video through a few times. Definitely messed up the first one I tried to make watching this video.

For anyone watching this in the year of our lord 2020 and confused: At the point in the video where she says "continue the pattern," you keep stringing 1 main, 1 accent, and 1 main in that order and continue stringing through the accent beads. To restart the pattern, string the beads through the top 3 (the ones sticking the furthest out) and then continue the pattern of stringing through one main, one accent, and one main and follow her direction of finishing it off with 2 main beads through each accent (and of course tying it)

Making my first cuff as I’m watching this. Much easier than I thought it would be lol , it’s coming out GREAT ! I’m on my fourth row but I’m getting kinda scared because it’s not really fanning up at all ... it’s still flat but I’ll keep going and see what happens. Has this happened to anybody else before ?

I got bored and made like 7 of these in one sitting- Edit: for the third rows of x’s I just went along with the normal patter-? Once you finish the second you go through the accent bead and add the main accent then main again? Sorry I don’t really know how to explain it but you’re probably doing it right.I thought it looked weird at first too🧍🏻‍♀️just watch closely again I guess?(also this was 6 months ago so I don’t remember much) basically it’ll get better on the next road BETTER EDIT kinda-: okay so I just made one now and basically it’s just the same thing as the row before it.Yes,I know it looks weird at first but it’ll get better💅

3:43 I think she added another row to make the second row of X’s Edit: if you look at the amount of accent colors (purple bead) in each column, you’ll see it was 3,2,3,2. When it transitions to the X’s, it’s now 3,3,3,3.

You don’t need a needle the needle just makes it easy to string beads it’s not a need it’s a preference so you can use your fingers just that it’ll be more tricker I hope this helps :)

At this point the cuff magically adds another row. If you look at the I side of it you can tell another row got added.. sucks because I got this far and now I have to undo it half to add another row...

Oh, also, if you use 12 purple and 24 white beads, it will fit every wrist, and also will work perfectly for the x pattern shes talking about, so there isnt a dead end of the x.

its easier to make kandi cuffs if you just cut the string off and go row by row. you can make a tighter cuff, and you can take breaks between rows. you can look at my etsy shop etsy.com/shop/kandicastle or insta @ lily_edm_batt to look at my kandi. i think that it comes out cleaner than if you don't cut the string.

I don't like to cut the string because every time you tie it off you create a weak point that is more likely to snap, break or come untied. However this is just my personal preference and that's what I love about kandi, a million different ways to make it :)
