Okay then, what kind of dance do you recommend? If this is to be accepted .you cannot use the piano too. Because it is a derivative of the harp . Harp was used by a Greek goddess to entertain fellow mythical gods and goddesses. I would like an explanation please. There are lot of mythical stories around many number of musical instruments. Pastor , one more question ,dont you use indian raghadhari music for composing your music for Sinhala and tamil Hymns?

psrupa: It is one thing to use elements and objects used by virtually everyone including heathens for their heathen worships and quite another to use those which are used exclusively for heathen worship. For example, rice is offered to gods of many religions as offerings. So, should we not use rice? No way. We can happily use rice. But sacred ash (vipuuthi) is something designed exclusively for Hindu worship. Piano which derived from the harp, for that matter any instrument, could be used by us albeit the fact that they are used in diverse worships of other religions. But the kota-beraya for example, was designed exclusively for the worship of demons. You need to understand what I teach. I do not say that we should not use anything used by heathen for heathen worship. I pinpoint exclusive elements only, in this case Kandyan Dance, that Christians refrain from using. Kindly notice the exclusivity over against commonality as elements to abstain within the context of what I teach. Thank you. Oh, you have asked 'what kind of dance do you recommend'. Well, if a Christian need to dance after all, there are are hundreds of dances that are decent, nice, happy, and absolutely non-religious that they can choose from. But Kandyan Dance, Pahatharata natum, Bharatha Natya and the like........, NEVVVVVER!
