He used to second bounce off the jump pad to do the second strafe , first strafe was off the initial jump 2nd strafe off the double jump. Octane is insane

0:34 he tapstrafes right as he slides on the pad which doesn't cost you your double jump so you can technically tap strafe two times on the jump pad when he actually uses the double jump afterwards. The time window is really short tho so you gotta time it really well. However, i think they should remove fatique wall jumps and also mantle jumps since they are just stupidly broken when you can pull them off on purpose.

0:47 He didn't touch the wall or wall bounce off the wall. When you hit an octane jump pad, you're able to tap strafe just as your character hits the jump pad (There's a small window but it isn't too hard to learn) and it allows you to keep the double jump that the pad gives you. So he hit the jump pad and immediately tap strafed and then used the double jump from the pad to tap strafe in mid air again.

Walking backwards or slide jumping backwards stretches the grapple, so it gives more momentum. That’s why people walk backwards when they grapple.

Octanes second ability when he upgrades is to change directions in the air after he hits his launch pad. That's how he moved like that.

for those not aware of that double tap strafe in the first clip. If you jump and let go of W as you hit octanes pad it will allow you to tap strafe with the first bounce and then obviously you can tap strafe again once jump again

FYI: in the first clip the pathy tap strafes off of hitting the pad and then uses the double jump for a tap strafe. the jump prompt sometimes doesn't appear due to a glitch

0:50 the fiirst tapstrafe is simply a normal tapstrafe, it uses the jump before he interacts with the jumppad. the second tapstrafe is the normal jumppad tapstrafe that most people know. to put it simply its a normal tapstrafe but there is a jumppad in the way which leads to him being launched during his inital tapstrafe

For the first clip you can actually time your jump as you launch so that you can tap strafe from the initial launch and then tap strafe again on the main bounce in the air. Think of it like the old "Super jump" that you could do with the jump pad before Respawn implemented it as a core feature, but just replace the super jump with a tap strafe! Great practice to learn this is to slide right next to the jump pad and then tap strafe into the direction of the jump pad as you do your 180. that way you'll see how it works and from there learn the timing of it. Fun video btw!

The way that first pathy tap strafed twice was by tap strafing right as they hit the pad. Causing them to pad in that direction saving them another jump into another tap strafed

first clip, if you time your jump before hitting the jump pad, you can tap strafe on the first jump. you need to jump very close to hitting the jump pad so you wouldn't jump over the jump pad.

clip 1 wasnt a wall bounce, if you time it right you can tap strafe out of the jump pad and keep your double jump, you just have to jump tap strafe right before you hit the jump pad

Explanation for Boom in the 1st clip: You can tapstrafe while hitting the jump pad to change direction in the beginning. it does not use your double jump! so he tapstrafes onto the pad and then tapstrafes with the double jump after that. thats how he tapstrafed twice. its very simple once u understand it 👍👍

In the second clip the player is using a program that simulates controller movement whilst also using MnK (typically reWasd). This allows for both aim assist as well as MnK movement. This is considered cheating, so not only is the clip lame it is also literally just cheats.
