I've played 1 & 2 back to back and this one is way superior. It looks great BUT what are the 2 things you'd expect to work in a cover shooter? The cover and the shooting, good luck finding something behind which the enemies can't shoot you. The weapons are about as accurate as Wikipedia, bullets don't head to the center of the cross-hair they flail everywhere but your intended target. The cover doesn't work, the shooting doesn't work and the shaky cam effect is a good idea on paper that only serves to nauseate in practice.

@thereaIblackcerberus- you're right, it was always there, but it only became a proper trend in the last generation when the stakes got higher and AAA games became increasingly costlier to make. GS for eg, used to give very strict reviews. But their scores started to go off the charts some time around 5-6 years ago. Lately, as Greg kasavin pointed out in a presentation, there has been increasing pressures on reviewers by the PR staff of publishers to give higher scores. This wasnt always so

I think he could have gotten away with being more spiteful and mocking in this video, and honestly he could have totaly skewered the game and there's a good chance he'd get away with that as well, given his shameful treatment and the huge backlash and fan support. I really think he could have gotten away with that or something close to it...but he didn't. Quite the opposite in fact Jeff is a class fucking act. Props

@9DarkSoul6- a 3/5 is the same as 6/10 that he gave to the first one. Your point is only partially true. Subjective reviews are these days given to high profile games mostly, thanks to sponsorship, that wasn't always so. Even then, At least some Integrity and transparency should be maintained. That is why the editorial team and the sales team are separate, but in GS the editors are no the puppets of the advertisement team. This didnt happen during Greg or vince broadys time.

I have this in my games collection and played it for the first time in years last night, it's actually not as bad as everyone says it is, the cover system may not be the greatest but it's still fun to play imo the story's pretty dark and fxxxxx up.

I and another random redditor got the game FREE from someone. We decided to try to co-op it together. We got I think 5-ish hours in? before we both called it quits. Never came back to it. It was utterly forgettable. I remember like 4 things from the game, and 2 of those were in the demo I think (which I did play a couple times a long while back). I remember the naked bit, I remember the them being all cut up (same bit I think), I remember a level in a building with a helicopter, and I remember a shipyard/boat. I think that was the level we gave up on - not too sure, as this was 2-3 years ago at least. Oh, and I also remember the camera filter and the atrocious headbob and FOV. Only third person game whose FOV actually bothered me, IIRC.

he got fired because he was just giving his opinion and he was right visuals were great , i have played the whole game with my friend and just like jeff said we finished it in 4 hours and some additional minutes and the ending , i won't spoil but when me and my friend got to that point we thought like they said to us fuck you it was the worst ending after sniper ghost warrior no emotion no explanation just see it for yourself,but i gotta tell we played a little bit of multiplayer and it was fun.

I tried the demo. Absolutely hated it personally because of two reasons. 1. No option for the filters. 2. Multiplayer suffers badly from lag. Seriously AI and players just jump around the map like shit. WTF is it?!

I played both K&L games and I still don't know why I keep coming back to it. The shooting is bland as hell and the AI is absolutely atrocious. I really like however the grim antiheroes and the dark story. I just want to see how f-ed up things get as things go along. Its like watching a snuff film, I just want to see beautiful things get destroyed.

He worked 10 years and along with other great staff got GS where it is now and that is how he got repaid.
