Actually Cha Cha is the one in charge of recruiting the South Korean players for Klingsman. This needs to change by the way. Some of the spoil brats like to think their above the rest of the team so huddle into clicks of refuge and solace to deal with the Senior players who by the way are mostly all playing in Europe or Western leagues. The hope is to keep the humble ones, the ones capable of working as a team and to grow into World Cup beasts. For some reason, the younger players are hungry but face the realization that the Senior players still hold rank such as when they are allowed to play with their KPop Barbie dolls or when Ping Pong is appropriate for them besides the night before a Semifinal run against the Jordanians. What’s sad is, some of the trouble might of been avoided had the punishments for insubordination and not following directions could of meant immediate suspension or permanent ban from relaxation games during important meetings. The head coach dropped the ball on this one and so as of today was terminated according to the news. Sad that the KFA decided to let out the dinner scuffle as a way to deflect upper managements ineptitude. Not professional or thoughtful to the players that tried to win. The other ones that could care less but still get a paycheck should of required to refund their pay and pay for their own flights back! That way it would leave a reminder to never play with their Ping Pong balls in front of elders, it’s a matter of discretion and hygiene never to play with Ping pong balls after dinner. 😂😂😂

They wanted Lee Kangin and his three accomplishes off the team. There was lack of team cohesion and Lee Kangin needs to be dropped because of his attitude. The majority of South Koreans said the Instagram apology was done on Instagram which was strange since it automatically deletes after several hours. The apology was insincere. The wording of the apology was defensive and not a direct apology to the team captain but as an excuse for poor Sporting character. After the dinner, Kangin and other youngsters were playing ping pong making so much noise that Sonny wanted them to rest thinking about the game against Jordan but Kangin and two other youngsters complaint and Kangin said something very disrespectful and went against his instruction and even threw a punch for holding his shirt.. All of the senior members, Hwang Hee Chan, Kim Min Jae, were angry towards Kangin and went to coach to bench him for what he did but Klinsmann refused. Kangin has been known for his temper and arrogance in the team being youngest of them all and disrespected senior members as if he is something. Koreans want Kangin removed from the team and fire do nothing coach Klinsmann. Son is the one who guided the team doing Klinsmann's job for Klinsmann has no clue how. It is totally jackass thing to disrespect older person especially if you don't follow captain of the team and his instruction. I was just like Kangin Lee was jealous of the power the cooler heads of the squad was. Lee often got ignored by Spanish players and their media blamed him when they lost the games because they played during the hottest times of the day so the Koreans could see them play at a convenient time. Also, many VIP Spanish and Portuguese players like Sergio Ramos, etc complained of Kangin Lee style of play, not enough finesse, diving for the ball, not passing to his teammates, and of course his teamwork. Lucky he left for Paris to go sell some Tshirts for the Qatari owners of PSG! Just another Asian footballer in Ligue A to sell tshirts to Asian fans! The sad part is a few of the spectators said that Lee plays for Qatari investors over at PSG. The joke was Kangin Lee was to throw or get the South Korean team to believe in him and them get them the loss before heading into the finals against Qatar. Seems pretty obvious since Kangin Lee has the ball passed to him 15 times! Versus the 3 passes to the Captain HMS! Kangin or rather MessiLee had zero shots on target! It was like he purposely was played by Smiling idiot Jurgen to throw the game and get monetary compensation from the Qataris later on! What obviously needs to have happened was have MeesiLee benched before the semifinal game against Jordan! Lee hires an attorney from South Korea to represent his stance. The people of South Korea and most of Asia understand this, it’s never a good idea to be one person above the team. Team unity is everything, that means Lee Kang In didn’t want to stay for the team meeting with his seniors because he felt he was entitled or rather above every other ranking National player. A big mistake by Lee Kang In, apparently he’s had issues with his teammates from Valencia soccer school, the football squad coaches, Mallorca and it’s coaches, and now the South Korean National team. Not a good reflection of his character or behavior. Likewise, most adults with children agree he might of been brought up wrong by Lees parents. He is beginning to be compared to the Molar Daddy psychopath, or the child star Lee Eun Hee found guilty of killing her husband for Insurance payout money. It’s getting real bad for Cha Duri as well. The adults cannot understand how Cha Cha recruited Kangin knowing his history of unruly and immature behavior towards coaches and his peers. It’s been well known in Europe.

I was utterly disgusted at Lee Kang In after hearing the news- regardless of the minute details. the fact is that there was disrespectful remarks thrown at the Seniors by Lee Kang In (didn’t surprise me, as players’s been saying how arrogant and disrespectful KangIn is for years) and of course Son reacted, then KangIn threw a punch at him (whether it is at the face or not). These are all facts - no one has come out to dispute these facts. He needs to be put in place with “dogpiling” public reaction. He makes millions playing with balls, not one minute of productivity, we should make our voice heard that we don’t want to see disgusting personalities flourish with fan’s interest. The young generation have had huge fame and money, especially in Korea come early, maybe too early. In Korea, there is a huge cultural thing about deferring to your elders. To talk back to your elders, let alone the team captain, is hugely disrespectful and an obvious act of defiance, like wayyy more in Korea than elsewhere in the world. I think Lee Kang In didn't play previously much in the World Cup because of attitude problems. The Korean coach at the time, Portugal's Paulo Bento, didn't give a reason why Lee Kang In was left out of the roster. I hope the "starboy" label the Korean media have given Lee Kang In hasn't gone to his head, but it seems like it has already happened. This is all so sad and shameful. Ugly stuff, especially on the brink of achieving the Asian Cup dream. I think winning the Asian Cup was felt more urgently by older players, maybe the younger players didn't feel the same level of urgency, hence the rift that occured between the younger and older players. The bigger story is why this story is out and confirmed by the KFA. This stuff, as unsavory as it is, should always be left behind closed doors or "in the locker room" as we say. It has been speculated the reason the story got out and was confirmed was to deflect pressure away from the KFA leadership, particularily the President, Chung Mong-Gyu, and coach Klinsmann. The media in Korea can be unrelenting, and sadly, this deflection tactic is pretty common in the media. A lot of rotten apples in this story. The younger players are definately at fault and need to check themselves very quickly. I think the KFA has to clear out the old guard leadership - people with cushy positions and with ties to the elites of Korean society (chaebol conglomerates like Samsung and high-ups in government). They need a new coach too, Klinsmann had poor leadership and tactics. What people outside of Korea do need to understand regarding the players, the Korean media and society in general puts crazy, crazy pressure on the Korean football team, almost demanding perfection. This story is just a glimpse of greater issues regarding not just the KFA but Korean society in general.

From what has been gathered from the KFA official statement: Kang-in wasn't even the central figure in the younger players getting together to play table tennis after dinner but it was a group of them including Seul and Jeong that did so and it was something that all the players had regularly done before. Son's finger was injured when someone else was holding him back from the younger players. This was an interesting factor because it did seem odd that the youngest player on the team could have that kind of clout particularly in Korean male culture that holds senority at such a high level. Seul (25) and Jeong (24) are significantly older than Lee (21) and Jeong has always showed massive respect toward Son, so it is really hard to believe that Lee was at the center of any actual rift between the players. A lot of this feels like the media hyping a story and the KFA over reacting.

In hindsight you may say well what difference does it make a few of the lads playing table tennis and bond, but this is situational story and as we weren’t there it difficult to analyse. Ultimately, Klinnsman and Son are the bosses, the former has the weight on his shoulders. Personally, I think Klinnsman is weak, Sons a legend much loved and respected, and Kang has ended up causing so much disruption you could argue he’s caused a rift and singularly lost Korea that tournament. I’d fire Klinnsman, suspend Kang until he has the same reputation and leadership skills that Son has. The selection of the young players by the KFA shows the lack of team spirit by the younger players and seriously winning. The older mature players wanted Lee and his three accomplices or at least Lee dropped for the semifinals! Lee Kangin or Messi Li had the ball passed to him 15 times as compared to the 3 times Sonny was given passes during that Jordan final! No shots on target by Lee. The KFA should realize that a breakdown in team spirit is at the heart of this disappointing result. The two other younger players along with Li wanted to play Ping Pong instead of gather together for team spirit sessions before an important semifinal game, not looking professional for them. Guess that the future of South Korea, garbage in, garbage out. The KFA’s Chung and Klingsman should step down for lack of keeping Discipline for the players before an important game. There was no training discipline given for Li’s Ping Pong altercation and likewise the results show. Lee needed to be benched for insubordination and Chung needs to be ousted from the Chairman role. In South Korea, when an underling disrespects his older brother and refuses to stop playing Ping Pong for an important team meeting is not looked well but as a lack of respect for the captain and the rest of the team. Lee Kangin could of shown respect and followed directions but instead refused and then tried to bite, scratch, and punch the team captain. But the captain refrained from hitting a little girl along with his beachis! Respect for showing restraint!

Klinsmann is the WORST manager I have EVER seen in modern football, and the Asian cup effort was sustained purely through individual brilliance and pure grit from the players. This is just an opportunistic play from the KFA to deflect the anger and hate they were justly receiving onto individual players. He's practically American now + his son is a capped US player so he probably was more invested in the US national team. With Korea he had none, he worked remote from the US and didn't even take the time to watch our domestic league which resulted in him selecting players that were out of form. The effort he showed in his US job will probably be the highlight of his career, he literally failed everywhere else.

I'm Korean. To be honest, I personally think that I cannot dare to express my opinion regarding this situation because it is the responsibility of the players to solve their own problems. However, I think the core of this problem is that since this incident, the Korean Football Association has been a bystander in the players' process, and has not tried to protect them by maximizing their mistakes. Problems between players are also a problem, but the Korea Football Association (KFA) is in need of reform, both this time and last time. There are many problems other than the election of Director Klinsmann, and the biggest one in this problem is the lack of responsibility. Klinsmann and KFA are talking about this result as if it were their own achievement, but this is only the player's original achievement and they are just bystanders to the asiancup. Rather, they are just trying to blame their own mistakes on the players.

FACTS: Whatever Klinsmann was as a player, he is definitely not as a coach. There was much argument from fans when he was selected by Korea Football Association to be the next coach after Bento. Klinsmann has a bad record; he's been fired before, he had not been working for 3-4 years, he's known for having no leadership. Thereafter, the complaints continued as he was not seen as actually coaching. He was rarely in Korea, always flying to other places or at home in the states. This means he doesn't know the nation of his employer and most definitely does not know his team. He dumped a lot onto Sonny. Son had a lot of pressure without the coach's support. Whenever Klinsmann was faced with complaints about his absence and lack of leadership, he used the excuse of being a non-hovering coach and that he prefers "remote" coaching which is his new "system" for Korea which will lead them to a win at the Asian games Hahahahahahahahahahaha! "Remote coaching" what BS is this? Klinsmann made zero effort to bring the team together, bond which is key to winning. Facts are that Korea currently has the best team they've ever had; they have world class players like Son, Kim Min Jae, Hwang Hee Chan, Cho Gue Sung, etc. Winning the Asian games was not that far off; it was a real possibility. So when they lost to Jordan who was ranked 60 plus levels below, it was both a shock and huge blow to everyone. Klinsmann the idiot then went onto putting on a goofy smile during the entire game, seemed rather happy for a loser and then returned to Korea with a huge smile on his face. This totally pissed off Korean fans. He went onto do a press thing where instead of apologizing for the loss and saying that they tried their best, he basically praised himself for all of the teams past wins. (Goof doesn't get that those wins were because of the star line up, not absent him). Anyway, Korean fans had enough. KFA fired him. Klinsmann still wears that goofy smile cause he thinks he still gets to pocket the 9 million dollars. KFA made the huge mistake of hiring him when no one else wanted him. KFA president, Chung, also needs to go. The game against Jordan was suspicious too. Klinsmann sat there most of the time like he was a spectator rather than the coach of the losing team. Even spectators had more reaction, passion. He didn't do any switch outs despite the fact that the players were tremendously fatigued from playing back to back games. He didn't even utilize other great players; he benched them instead. It almost felt like Klinsmann wanted his own team to lose. Now that Lee, Kang In, the moron, doesn't get a free pass. Lee has always been a pissant; disrespectul hothead and definitely not a team player. He took his "rising star" status a little too seriously. He keeps a few hangersons by his side (now known in Korea as the "PingPong Cartel") and likes to stir things up. What he did the night before the game against Jordan is unheard of, especially in Korean culture. Firstly Son is 9 years his senior, not only his captain but a football legend, world class player in the Premiere league and the current captain of Tottenham. In addition, Son is beloved by fans all over the world for his strong work ethics, pleasant disposition and classy manners. So Lee must really be a loco when he thinks throwing a punch at the captain who is only trying to group his teammates before a big game the next day. Most Korean fans who once supported Lee are fuming. This "Ping Pong Ding Dong" played a part in wrecking Korea's best chances of winning the gold at the Asian games in more than 60 years. All in all, the past year was a sham. Within one year, Klinsmann took a team of very talented players and let them run like chickens with their heads cut off.
