Chinna kannan azhaikkiraan is FAR MORE (light years ahead) complicated, intricate and ornate than kangal irandaal. The way Maestro ILAYARAJA begins with Flute, moves on to Santoor and Strings with the WHOLE PACKAGE is an aural delight that STOOD/will stand the test of time, when compared to the other simple, plain-vanilla synth song. The RAAGA itself was NEW to be used in Cinema (1977)! It earned Ilayaraja lots of praise, especially from the Carnatic side. I WISH musicians be sensitive to such details even before simply attempting to "club" 2 songs with sky-and-earth difference, for the sake of cover and views.
