The whole "no reverse" in 3 wheelers harks back to British registration schemes. If it didn't have a reverse, it could be counted as a motorbike, thus cheaper registration. It's why the Reliant Robin was so popular in coal mining (poor) towns in the UK.

Of course there's no reverse, it's a Peel, it's literally a bike engine with 2 rear wheels attached. When was the last time you had a motorcycle with reverse? Goldwings and the enormous (ick) Harley's only ones I know of. lol
