I've always considered myself a connoisseur of story in video games. Don't get me wrong, I like gameplay too, see Fallout 3, Borderlands 1, Rogue Legacy, ect. I've always felt that a game with a compelling story will end up being one of my favorites and can help me overlook shortcomings elsewhere, see Dragon Age: Origins, with mediocre combat and one of the best stories in a game I've played. However, this little 2-3 hour game? Blows every other story in a game I've seen out of the water. It is literally the only piece of media that had ever made me cry. Not to say others haven't touched me, but I'm not easy to make cry, and you did it. This is an utter masterpiece of a game and if you have any doubts about playing it, push them aside. This is a story of a generation and everyone should play it. Ken Gao, my hat's off to you. You are a masterful writer and designer, and you've made a masterpiece. I can't wait to see A Bird Story and what's next for this series beyond that.

Hundreds and hundreds of games… This one stood out. By far. It’s the pinnacle of them all. I am so thankful to be allowed to experience it. The game helped me to put my life in perspective.
