Australian here, he's fighting his own reflection. Roos are not very clever lmao. Also this is a red roo, they're only found in some parts of the country. Red roos are also unlikely to attack you unless they feel provoked or threatened. There's an animal sanctuary next to me that keeps red roos, and kids are allowed to walk up and pat them. I did this loads as a kid, and the only animals that ever attacked me there have been Cape Barren geese (actually a land-dwelling swan, vicious things). They rotate the population because they're not native where I live in Tassie and need to be culled so they don't destroy the ecosystem, so they feed the Tassie devils red roo meat from culled roos. Sounds grotesque, but is actually very sustainable practice and culling red roos is encouraged by many state governments and the federal government. Indigenous people have hunted them for 60k years, and so the ecosystem relies on humans culling roos a small amount. Eastern greys are more common and are way smaller and more timid. Wallabies are even more common than that, and are just mini roos. Still just as vicious to each other though. In Tassie we get pademelons, which are mini wallabies, and they will straightup claw each other's throats out over a mate or food during droughts. They hate each other, not humans. Humans confuse all marsupials a bit, because they can't comprehend the things we do

The thing is Skippy was always a sweetie, what the hell happened, did he hit the steroids and figure to hell with the ranger and his kids.
@eadlondon-nm2uy7 ай бұрын
What's up Skip? Skippy understood English, and never faltered once given verbal requests from humans, usually quickly showing exactly where the latest crisis was hitting its critical moment. What went wrong, indeed!

Seriously, I don't know which part of him scares me more! His aggressive behavior, the fact that he's as ripped as a body builder, or his claws which look like something out of horror movie!!!

It's the long claws on his back legs that he will rock back on his tail and try to disembowel you with that you have to be careful of.😮

I'm an Aussie & you betcha they can be dangerous, mainly the males! They can break bones & cause internal bleeding with their legs & literally gut you with their claws! They also drown dogs by holding them underwater if they're near a dam too. Years ago an elderly couple I know were sitting outside on their back patio, a roo charged out of the bush & attacked them, unprovoked! They had cuts & bruises & fortunately no serious injuries
@cloudmountaindog85373 ай бұрын
They can be pretty scary when they square up and run straight at you too. They’re not small.

I'm 60. I remember as a kid seeing pictures of kangaroos in books and the teacher explaining from where they come and how their babies grow in the pouch. The pictures were of sweet, loving, tender little kangaroos. Who knew they are actually terrifying. Well, besides the Australians.
