There is a funny sign on the Wing at Ikon Park it reads Carlton Respects Women. Carlton has a huge Gender Pay Gap as do all AFL Teams. Respect means closing the Gender Pay Gap.

The women's league simply doesn't bring in enough revenue. If people go to games that would been the payment rises.

@@burningghidorah7294 The AFLW has lead to all AFL clubs receiving tens of millions of dollars in Taxpayer grants. Just look at Ikon Park all the upgrades were paid for with Taxpayers money in the form of Women in Sports Grants.

People going down this line are going to destroy the woman competition as it is supported by the men's AFL and couldn't survive in it own right. They need to build the support and that may take time. And they are along way of it at the moment

Must say, The umpiring standard in the AFLW is pathetic. Some umpires clearly do not know the rules AND often favour one side, generally Melbourne based teams. This is called cheating.
