They may not be literally his creations code-wise, but he *did* “create” the version of XChara that he is right now. Just on a purely psychological level. In a way, that makes him not so different from other XTale characters.

As I understand, the "Cross" prefix is usually only added when refering to Cross himself as Cross!Sans and also XChara, when he is in control of Cross' body (Cross!Chara). All other characters from XTale only have the prefix "X". There is no Cross!Papyrus, he's either XPapyrus or XTale!Papyrus. Hope I made that clear. Also I don't know if this was intentional, but Papyrus with one phrase made a reference to the game called "Papyrus Has Gone Too Far". I can't stop thinking about this~
