Hello friends, welcome to DCBA Online.
In this video lecture we will be learning the Kani's method of analysis. This video lecture is Kani's method for continuous beams in english which is used for analyzing and finding moments and forces. This video is kani's method for non sway frames or kani's method for frames without sway. On successful completion of this video you will have solved Kani's method problem. Kani;s method of structural analysis is based on stiffness method or rotation contribution method.
You will also learn about the displacement factor in Kani's method

Very helping and nice video. I don't know by coincident or what, this problem was our first Kani's method lecture. :) But you explained it better, or I'm just concentrating more due to midterm.

if there is a complex portal frame then how do we find final moment in that case because it has 3 values of rotation factor and how can we cross them..plz sir tell me

why , when you find the last line where there is no change in moment anymore, you copied it for the second time and then you crossed the values?

When you say that latest iteration value from adjacent support I've a doubt. For support B when you say latest iteration value from right support then it's from span DC(since it is part of same support C) but you go with iteration value of span CB which solved earlier than DC. So please clarify how is the 'latest' word applicable here?

Sarvesh Chitke , the latest iteration value for any intermediate support will always come from its adjacent members, since Kanis box is only drawn for intermediate supports. Now coming to support B, the latest iteration vale from left support i.e. A will be taken from member AB & the latest iteration value from right support i.e. C will always be taken from member BC ,if you closely look then member AB & BC are members which are connected to support B which is currently under consideration. So to summarize what i said above always take values of members which are connected to the support which is into consideration. I hope your doubt is solved.
