Kanile'a 'Ukulele Pōhaku & ‘Ilikai Sound Demo

The ʻIlikai and the Pōhaku are two new instruments for 2024 that we are building from solid maple and staining for a distinctive and unique look to go along with its amazing tone. These instruments will be available in all sizes from soprano all the way to baritone.

Question- is there anyway to special order one of these with the fret marker moved from the 9th fret to the 10th fret? I am used to seeing it that way on my other Kanile’a ukuleles. Thank you.

Aloha, which size are you interested in? We do 9th fret markers on the baritone due to the guitar tuning. But all of our GCEA tuned sizes (sop, con, ten, super ten) would have it at the 10th like you’d be used to. Wouldn’t be a need for special order. Excellent. My bad. I was looking at Craig’s uke and thinking it was a tenor, but it’s a beautiful baritone. Sarah’s clearly shows it at the 10th fret. All good. Thanks!!!
