Thanks to Lang Ping for leading the Chinese women's volleyball team to have spirit, persistence and hard work. It is not important to win or lose. It is not easy for you. After hard work, as long as you are not injured, you are healthy and safe. Director Lang and the Chinese women's volleyball team have a good rest. .

She will go down as the TOP LEGEND among other LEGENDS in the Volleyball world. Jenny Lang Ping is and will always be the BEST COACH. Sad to see her retire from coaching; however, she knows that she had done her best and had led China to GOLD once. Now, she has to pass it on to the next head coach for China. I know she will still be involved with the Chinese Women's Team behind the scene. She was there during 2012 London match (Japan vs China when China lost to Japan) as she was the commentator and she cried when they lost. She has always been apart of the Chinese team even when she wasn't the coach back when she was coaching Team USA. I have so much respect for Jenny. - USA Fan.

*A SAGA TO REMEMBER FOR CHINESE VOLLEYBALL* _Imagine that someone just took the very rare opportunity to push the intoxicated Chinese into the mud so they got the dirt even though they regained their sobriety soon later but too late for this time. They paid the very dear and very painful price for being drunk yet I believe they won't forget the back stabbing!_ And if the USA had not thrown away its match against RUS by losing 0-3, the Chinese team would still advance into the QF. I wish Chinese people will remember this mischievous act for long time in future! Those who follow women's volleyball understand the US core team has never lost to RUS team in the last several years! It's apparent that the US team used the chance of bad performance of the Chinese team to kick it out of the the competition by throwing away its match against RUS. A very cool return for the good deed the Chinese team did to them in the 2018 World Championship when Lang Ping's team still played normally with the starters to defeat the RUS team in a match which was not important for China yet was decisive for the USA! In Tokyo 2020 Pool B The RUS team is at 4th position with 3 wins, 2 losses and 9 points -- just do the math! TOKYO 2020 - WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL POOL B MATCHES OF THE USA, RUSSIA AND CHINA: 4 Wins, 1 Loss 25 Jul USA 3-0 ARG 27 Jul USA 3-0 CHN 29 Jul USA 3-2 TUR *_31 Jul USA 0-3 RUS_* *** USA's only defeat 02 Aug USA 3-2 ITA 3 Wins, 2 Losses, 9 points 25 Jul RUS 0-3 ITA 27 Jul RUS 3-0 ARG 29 Jul RUS 3-2 CHN *_31 Jul RUS 3-0 USA_* ***RUS' pivotal win in Pool match 02 Aug RUS 2-3 TUR 2 Win, 3 Losses, 7 points 25 Jul CHN 0-3 TUR 27 Jul CHN 0-3 USA 29 Jul CHN 2-3 RUS *31 Jul CHN 3-0 ITA* *** A win which was supposed to be crucial against another strong team yet futile because USA threw away its match against RUS 02 Aug CHN 3-0 ARG And in Pool A, DOM made its way to the quarterfinals at the 4th position just by two wins, just like what China did in the Rio 2016 OG... it's all possible because no team played dirty throwing away its match to sabotage the other teams, they all played with the sportsmanship! olympics.com/tokyo-2020/olympic-games/en/results/volleyball/groups-women.htm

Lang ping is a legend, but the Chinese team got what it deserved at the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games. Period ! Full stop ! . So many teams have become better in recent years... Turkey, Brazil, Russia (ROC) just to name a few. Another thing- you can't coach a team and expect ONE player to carry the whole team. Every player in their own position should be ready to contribute and score points. Period ! Teams like China, Serbia, and Italy having only ONE star player that carries the whole team namely Zhu Ting ( China ), Paola Egonu ( Italy ), Tajana Boskovic ( Serbia ) are the ones who carry their whole teams. Even Serbia's coach predicted at the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games that they wouldn't win gold because they needed to improve the other players in the Serbian team and not expect Boskovic to do it all. Team USA just won the Gold medal at the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games. And they deserved to win because all their players are ready to replace the other should one starter got injured. Another thing- let it be a teaching lesson, and to learn it the hard way, that teams that do not send their starter players to the VNL games ( FIVB's Annual Volleyball Event ) and instead they send their substitute/B team players to the VNL to rest their starters and so the starters can be ready and well rested for the Olympic Games or World Championship-- means nothing. Brazil, Russia, Turkey, and the USA teams --with ALL their starters included-- spent 5 grueling weeks playing at the VNL games a month before the 2020 Tokyo Olympic games... and guess what ? Brazil and USA ended up playing for the Gold medal at the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games. China, Serbia, and Italy, did not send their starters to this year's VNL games and they instead sent their substitute/B team players to the VNL this year. China only had their starters the last two weeks of the VNL this year. And what happened at the 2020 Tokyo Olympic games ?? China did not even advance to the quarterfinals. Italy was beaten in the quarterfinals. USA mopped the floor with Serbia and beat Serbia in straight sets 3-0 in the semifinals. And Italy, China, and Serbia, think that by resting and not sending their starters to the VNL is going to help them ? LOL. Well... it didn't work out for them, did it ? I hope those teams learned their lesson the hard way !!!

And the fact that Zhu Ting's injury is already 4 years old???? Wow I'm furious about this!!! Coz with her injury, they win games, they lose games!!! @@thejoeyjason hey bud. Yeah, karma is a b****, isn’t it ? I didn’t know zhu ting’s injury was 4 years old. Wow. It seems to me that China is looking for excuses to justify how poorly they played at the Tokyo Olympic Games. China will have a new coach and probably half of those Chinese players will retire. China will go through a transition now… like Russia and Brazil have gone in the last few years and now they are becoming a powerhouse. Russia beat USA in straight sets in pool play recently at the Tokyo games.

@@topjer3045 they were really rattled and lost focus when Jordan Thompson had an injury early on in the 1st set. And looked like they did not recover at all.
@topjer3045
@topjer3045 3 жыл бұрын
@@thejoeyjason you are absolutely right. When Thompson got injured the girls did not recover and lost focus. I think if Jordan T. had not gotten injured the US girls would have fought back and beat Russia 3-1 or 3-2 in tie breaker fifth set. But I’m glad to see teams like Russia, Brazil, Turkey, becoming powerhouses. I was sad when Turkey lost to South Korea in the fifth set in the quarterfinals. Turkey has a lot of potential but they need to work on the mental/psychological part of the game as they don’t seem to be able to recover yet when the other team is beating them and getting them out of system. That’s something the US and Brazil teams have, they seem to be able to turn it around and come back winning a set… or the match.

*It happened before, in RIO OLYMPICS 2016. China under Lang Ping lost the first 3 three games. At that time, they were saved by their fourth position. They went on to win the QTR, the SEMI and the FINAL. This time round, the fourth position was occupied by Turkey. China was in the fifth position and therefore eliminated from the tournament. The big question is why the repeat of the loss of the first 3 games? And most critically, leading ROC by 2 sets to 1, they were ahead in the 4th set 19-12 and yet, against all odds, they lost 6 points in a row. 19-12 suddenly became 19-18. What did Lang Ping tell the players to do? What strategy? They ended up losing 25-27, followed by the 5th set at 12-15. Much has been said about Zhu Ting's wrist injury. I fully accepted that. She should have retired fully after the first set of the 1st match because her inability to contribute was painfully obvious. Lang Ping should also have taken her off completely from all matches. Zhu Ting's condition must have been obvious to the team. Lang Ping should have prepared the team to play WITHOUT Zhu Ting BEFORE the start of the tournament. Failure to do was the cause of the failure to qualify. I put the responsibility squarely on the shoulders of Lang Ping!*

A truly great coach would have always prepare his/her team to do without one of the players. I am not being harsh to criticise LP for her not preparing for the possibility of such a situation where one player on any given day may be for whatever reason not able to perform, and so a substitute with whom they can still play a very good game is to be expected. After all, since 2019 World Cup, LP has more than 2 years to prepare for this. It is never accpetable to have a team depending on any one person, whom without being present, the team will not be up to the standard of amongst the top 3, if the team is to be regarded as worthy of #1 position.

@@jesim2203 Did she not join the Olympic at all or injured while in game? I am sorry i cannot find much reff on google too. So id rather to ask someone. Imagine, if China won a gold there. Its 39-39 with USA. But a past is a past.

CHINA team was supposed to be right up there at the podium . Getting the gold medal ,or a silver one, no less than that ..but disgrace came upon them when their best player ZHU TING got injured and that was the beginning of the end for them, they never really were capable of overcome that hole in their lineup and consequently lost matches that in normal,circumstances would’ve been so easy to win, such as the ones over Turkey, and the ROC ( RUSSIA ), against the USA team, would’ve been a 5 set match probably with the balance heavily inclined to them…but it wasn’t meant to be….CHINA failed to even classify for the quarterfinals and that was it….PARIS 2024 will be the time for redemption I’m quite sure of that ,until,then so long IRON HAMMER, you won’t be easily replaced.

What interesting is the bet ratio on Lang Ping & her team failure was sky high before the China/Russia match began. Conspiracy theory tells me that maybe some of the China team have a role in it.
