Leelavati, ananthnag, Lakshmi, ashwat…..I belong to this generation this movie was released 15 yrs before my birth well I have to admit this movie is seriously masterpiece….this movie was recommended by my dad…..I watched only today….these days no good movies like this with such story lines….it’s based on novel….low budget but great content….

why the hell do parents force their daughter to get married if she is not interested? This is soo common even today. Forcing anyone to get married when the are not interested is a perfect recipe for disaster. The guy had to bear the brunt of the mistake made by the girl's parents and it was not his fault at all. If somebody does not want to get married just bloody leave them alone. The girl has every right to live her life on own terms and conditions. By forcing you ruin not just 2 lives but 2 families and peace of mind and happiness.

She is still a child to those parents! So they will bear all the pain to ensure that she gets a good life... Without marriage no woman's life is complete! It is evident even today, no matter what modernization and to what extent the equalities are brought... A man (partner) who tolerates such woman is always at a higher plane. Do you understand the ecstasy of happiness he (and she) got at the end of the film? They would have not got that had they led a normal life. I am not backing her behavior and past, but life is a drama after all you know...
