Mens Qualifying Event
Kanoa Igarashi wins Quarter-Finals Heat 3 at the US Open of Surfing in Huntington Beach
2 World Tour surfers competed against each other at the US Open of Surfing on this morning. The US Open is actually a “Qualifying Series” event but attracts many top level pros due to the media coverage and large winnings on offer. Kanoa Igarashi and Bino Lopes surfed in sloppy 2-3 foot waves on the south-side of the pier. The surfing conditions were not that great but these men exhibited some skills regardless. Kanoa Igarashi caught waves and performed 360 aerials to help win the heat. Kanoa Igarashi is a Huntington Beach local.
Quarter Finals Heat-3:

Bino Lopes (Blue)
This video also features several other competitors: Michel Bourez and Filipe Toledo.
This video contains natural sounds from the beach in the background. There are also shots of the crowd near the pier.
