A fun cast of characters this episode. I loved discovering more of Haruka's personality alongside Tomoya. The father, and maid were great supporting characters too. Really enjoyed the chemistry between characters. Top tier story

This was just perfect! Seeing Haruka and Tomoya develop their friendship after the accident with Kuzutani was really sweet. But the story got better with Haruka getting rid of Kuzutani for what happened to her, and even more so when her overprotective father came into the hospital. But seeing Tomoya try really hard to make amends for what happened and the two eventually becoming a couple was really cute and sweet. Plus Himaragi was the perfect winggirl for them, especially in her toying of Haruka.

I've also fallen onto a girl once, but that was because I was shoved into her by one of the school jerks who was looking to start something. He shoved me pretty hard, so I lost my footing and fell onto my friend Electra, who the jerk had had a crush on ironically. She twisted her ankle, and before I could give the guy his comeuppance, he ran away. I ended up taking her to the nurse's office since I was the only person around, and she needed a shoulder to lean on since she couldn't really stand up right. It was just a pretty bad sprain, but it hurt a lot. The next time she saw the jerk, she slapped him across the face.

Even though it actually was the other guys fault, that's not that unusual a reaction to second guess yourself and feel guilty. In 1995 I was on my way to work in a very dense fog. A woman coming the opposite direction crossed the centerline on a two lane highway and hit the car in front of me. We were both running about 45 mph. and she was doing about 70. Killed her instantly. The young man driving the car she hit started second guessing himself thinking he could have prevented it somehow. He started drinking heavily and missing work. Since I knew exactly what happened, his mom came to me and asked me to talk to him to try to straighten him out. My method was a little cold and brutal, but, I had to shake him up to get him to understand how arrogant and self centered was his trying to take the blame for a wreck that was entirely HER fault. The speed she was traveling when she veered across the centerline never gave him a chance. They call that "survivor's guilt".

I feel sorry for the dad. He's overprotective, but it almost seems from the dialogue that it's less about love and more about her being the corporate inheritor. I mean, some of his anxiety IS about his daughter getting hurt. But, he over stresses the fact that she's the heir too much. I get the feeling that he isn't quite centered well enough to be trusted with running the company in the future. Either that, or he's just so over emotional that the grandfather has to rein him in on occasion. But that comment about the grandfather saying it was okay, so, he didn't have the right to over rule the decision bugs the hell out of me. After all, HE is her father, but, she goes to Grampa when her dad gets too controlling. So, I think Daddy's spring is wound just a little too tight. P.S.: Great job on the VA as always from the Kanon's crew!
