the play is to accept, but only put in as much effort into the relationship as he feels like. either she realizes her "prize" isn't as good as she thought it was and moves on, or she wins the guy over with her charms and they move into a more stable relationship. sometime the act of wanting something and not getting it for so long makes you build ot up to crazy unrealistic expectations and the only cure is getting exactly what you want.
