I would lowkey wanna see a story something like this. it is the same like this up until 8:40. after this. the mc is absent from school for a few days, fc finds out where he lives and go to visit him, expecting the "mc has a cold" scenario, but it is way darker. his door is broken down, his apartment in in disarray and in the corner.. is the mc he is battered, beaten, and looks close to death clinching his arm, fc tries to find out what happened but mc puts up even stronger walls around himself, and forces her to leave. Later she overhears some boys gossiping about how he got beaten because he was too close to her. and deserves everything he got. she shuts down emotionally as she realizes that, the mc wasn't over reacting in the beginning when he was wary of what the guys though about the whole thing. and now he's in this state because she didn't listen. it's been weeks since then and mc hasn't shown up to school once. the guilt builds more and more and her chirpy personality is all but gone. she's still popular but now she puts up the same walls the mc put up in the beginning. Years later she still has those walls up and the shine in her eyes are gone. she spots the mc and tried to call out to him but no sound came from her mouth, to her horror but it he's lost an arm, the one that he was clinching all those years ago, she tries to talk to him, but he doesn't remember her. she tries to apologize, the shine in her eyes slowly comes back and she continues to apologize to him, he slowly recalls who she is and pats her on the head with his remaining arm. and talks to her like she was an old friend asking what she's been up to and avoiding the matter at hand, almost as if it never happened. she hugs him and all she can say is "I'm sorry" (sorry I'm a sucker for story where actions have consequences)

I've been in a situation like the MC before. It was on a Field Trip back when I was in the 11th grade. My Best Gal Pal sat down in the seat next to me and she was tired.
