Different era. Though the other day I did hear Greta Van Fleet - Meeting the Master They started as a Led Zeppelin tribute band, and now they are drawing from a wider range of bands from the time, which is cool to see. There's some other bands doing it, but yea generally one would take inspiration and maybe combine it into another genre with a more modern overall feel to it, rather than being a portal into the 70s

Which is fine in itself, since it's their own song and they can change whatever they like, but it's just nowhere near the original recording.

Steve Walsh, the shirtless guy, there is no band alive today that can even pull off a performance like he could or Kansas could. The passion and commitment is incredible, especially how he immediately turns around and plays the bongos, then back at the keyboard, then back to the bongos at such a fast speed. He certainly is an incredibly talented person.

On a side note, I love the huge differences in attire in this video. One dude is in the back wearing that classic 70s tuxedo while the lead singer looks like he plays for the Lakers. It was my birthday present to myself; Kansas has been my favorite band for decades. I may be 60 (and counting) but for the first time in years, I feel like a kid at Christmastime. Dudes and Dudess'ssss - You'all say what you want about this band - They were a bunch of middle America BADASS duffas who rode the dragon to the top. Steve Walsh may look like a crazed nut but he was just full of natural energy. Nobody on drugs could ever jump between lead vocals - lead keyboards and congas - back and forth and never miss a beat. He plays every note on the Hammond exactly right. These guys were True Monsters of Rock and I salute them. Tell me your stories of Kansas. Kansas was the first live concert that I ever went to. I was 13. I can honestly say that Steve Walsh was just as crazy that night. Of course, this night was also the first time I took acid. @@Ozarkprepper643 Are you sure it wasn’t just Kerry? Their stage for two or three tours had Kerry and Steve’s keyboards facing each other a distance apart- like splitting the stage in thirds. Kerry had much longer hair
